"And that's how I managed to leave," Cameron told us.

"Oh my God. I can't believe you got stuck in a crossfire," Jan said in disbelief. "Wow man. You must've been really scared," Bert said.
"I thought I was gonna die," Cameron said.

"Wow. You really could've got busted," I joked.

"I didn't know it was going to be Gang War. For God's sake, my car just happened to break down there. I had to call lawyers to tell cops I wasn't part of any gang. I was just a civilian who happened to be at the wrong place at wrong time," he said shuddering at the memory.

"It's okay Honey Bear. You got past it," I comforted him.

"Yeah. That was enough action for rest of my life," he smiled.

"Oh shoot! I need to meet Razor and others. I'll catch you later babes. Bye guys," he pecked me on the cheek. I watched him leave.

I turned my attention to my friends who were looking at me with mouth open.

"What?" I asked them.

"Did you just call him Honey Bear?" Jane asked in horror.

"You two look more cheesy than my cheeseburger," Bert said taking a bite from his burger.

"People think we're a couple. We have to put up a show," I said as a matter of fact.

"It didn't look like a show to me," Jane raised an eyebrow.

"I think you like him," Bert said.

"Of course, I like him. That's why I'm sleeping with him, duh," I told them.

"He's not talking about 'I find him attractive and sexy' like," Jan said defensively. I rolled my eyes. "Dawn. You two have a thing for each other. And it's more than you want to admit. Maybe you two are actually falling for each other," she said sincerely. I laughed.

"Oh, Janice. Now you're imagining things," I told her.

"No Dawn. You are ignoring things that everyone can see," Bert said.

"Since when you two started to agree on things? And aren't you two are spending a lot of time together," I accused. They both blushed.

"Oh my God. Are you two a thing now?" I asked in surprise.

"No!"

"Not yet," they both said.

"Not yet?" I shot up an eyebrow.

"We're keeping it casual. We are taking it slow," they held hands. Jan blushed.

"Oh boy. And you say I'm the one falling," I said in disbelief.

"We just want you to be careful," Bert said.

"I don't need to be careful. But for sake of your concerned minds, I'll try. Fine?" I said. They smiled.
