Cheerleading Teams' Locker Room

I was part of cheerleading team in the sophomore year. It was a tough day. We've been practicing for hours. I was training the freshman new arrivals. Everyone had left. I was in the shower. It was the matter of 10 minutes then I could go home. Gates will be closed in half an hour. I can easily make out of here before that. I turned around to get the towel. It wasn't there. How is it possible? I kept it just here. I looked for my clothes. They weren't there either. Maybe they fell another side. "Excuse me? Is anyone outside?" I asked. I heard a laugh. It was a guy. Damn.

"Who's out there? Give me my clothes back. Please," I tried to reason with him.

He laughed. "Come out and take it," he said.

"This is not a joke. Give me my damn clothes," I shouted.

"Take it from your locker once you figure out how to get out of here," he laughed. I heard the sound of the door closing.

"No. Wait up!" I shouted. "Is anyone outside? Please help," I tried the door. It was locked. I had no phone, no clothes, no towel and I was locked in the damn bathroom. It was cold and no one could hear me. Soon, gates will be locked. I'll have to stay like this until morning. I sat by the door. It was Cameron. It was damn Cameron. I couldn't stop my tears. Hours past. I sneezed. I might have caught a cold. I was alone, waiting for the night to pass. I couldn't get out like this. Maybe if I try to sleep, this dreadful night will pass. I tried to sleep but I couldn't. It was cold and chilling.

Hours later, I heard a knock on the door. I thought it was a dream. But then I heard a soft knock on the door.

"Dawn! You okay?" I heard a male husky voice. As he had run a marathon. He was concerned. I stood up.

"Is anyone there? It's locked," I told him. I heard the sound of the door unlocking.

"I don't have clothes," I said in low voice.

After few seconds, he put a navy blue shirt over the door. I wore it. I came outside but no one was there. I searched the place but couldn't find anyone. I went to my locker. My clothes were in there. I went to the washroom and put on the jeans. I collected my stuff and made my way to the parking. The security guard opened the door for me. I told him what happened. He told me he'll report it to the Dean but I told him I didn't recognize the person who pulled the prank on me. I knew it was Cameron. Who else could it be? But he had never done anything like this. It was way beyond the line. And, the voice was different. I wasn't sure. I asked him if he had seen someone entering here but he didn't. I searched for days to thank the person but I couldn't find him. I didn't know what to do with the shirt so I kept it with me. He was my savior. It could've been worse but he saved me.

Next day, I confronted Cameron. "I can't believe you could stoop down to this level, Hardwick. You're lucky I didn't tell the guard it was you," I shouted.

"What the hell are you talking about, Clayton? You don't have a life but people do need other things in the morning than angry girls shouting in their ears," he tried to look bothered.

"You stole my clothes and locked me in the bathroom. You left me like that to stay for the whole night," I was infuriated.

"Dawn Clayton, it wasn't Cameron. It was me. It was an immoral move and I deserve every punishment you want to impart. I thought it would be a nice joke but it was offensive and unethical. I shouldn't have done it," a blonde guy from my class said.

I glared at him. I wanted to take him straight to the Principal's room but I controlled my anger.

"Do you realize if the authority finds out, you would be rusticated?" I asked.

He was horrified but he nodded.

"I won't report it but never do this to anyone again. Is it clear?"

He nodded.

"Now. Go," I told him.

"Now. Now. You've found your culprit. Happy ending. Next time, find the right person before accusing the innocent," Cameron said in a mocking tone.

"Maybe if you weren't responsible for every other problem in my life, I'd been more careful with my discernment," I rolled my eyes and left.
