"I gotta stay high all the time
To keep you off my mind
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
High all the time
To keep you off my mind
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Spend my days locked in a haze
Trying to forget you babe
I fall back down
Gotta stay high all my life
To forget I'm missing you"Planning a wedding is tiring. Especially, when you got to do it all alone. Tears. But my Guardian Angel sent from the heaven is here to rescue. I drove to the airport to pick him up. I'd been waiting for a while now. "Where are you, Ed?" I said impatiently. When it comes to being patient, I'm worse than Bert at drawing. Poor guy can't even draw a straight line.
I felt someone's arms around me as they picked me up and swirled around. "Tweety!" I heard Ed's voice. "You're late!" I acted mad but in vain. I smiled like an idiot. I was so happy to see him that I couldn't pretend otherwise. When my feet touched the ground, I turned around and pulled him into a bear hug. "I missed you so much," I told him. "I missed you as much," he held me tightly. After letting him nap and treating him with a homemade meal, we talked about his match. Of course, they won.
"I'll do the dishes," he said. "It's okay," I told him. "You must be tired, Dawn. You've been working your ass off. You deserve a break," he held my hand to stop me. I gave him a smile. Ed did the dishes and I helped in drying them despite his requests for me to get some rest. "You've been practicing so hard. You need rest too," I told him. So, we decided to call it a day.

We've been working on the sitting arrangements. "No, then Samuelson will have to sit in the back," I frowned at the paper. "Hmm..." Ed seemed like thinking and then made some changes. "What about now?" he asked. "Umm...then what about Karnaughs?" I pointed. He sighed.
After wasting two more hours we decided to have a break. Ed got us some snacks while I made us something to drink. I settled down next to him with my head on his shoulder. Ed was rubbing his temples. Despite all the boring work we'd been doing since morning, he smelled fresh. I snuggled closer to him and he put his arm around me.
He was so warm and huggable. His presence always has this soothing effect on me. He is like the breeze of air that brings cool in the days of hot summer. I didn't realize how tired I was until now. It wasn't just the planning, it was all the emotional roller coaster I'd been on. It was all the anxiety I'd been trying not to choke on all this time. It was all the hurt I'd been trying to bury deep down in my mind by busing myself in every way possible. I usually throw myself into the studies but since it's vacations and I had already completed the reading we'd been assigned to do, I had nothing else.
Now being close to my own prescription of Benzodiazepines, I can feel his aura having its effect. My breathing relaxed and my eyes were heavy from the exhaustion that washed over me.

"Wake up, Sleepy Head," I heard a soft voice. I purred like a kitten. "I'd let you sleep but I think you need to eat something," the soft voice was now accompanied like a light brush of fingers over my cheeks. I smiled at my best friend as he helped me up. "What time is it?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "Ten thirty," he said leaving my side. I registered that I'd been moved on to the couch and tugged in a warm blanket. I looked at the table full of paper sheets scattered here and there. I picked up one of them. Ed sat next to me holding two plates of mac and cheese. He took the paper from me and gave me the plate.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked him putting the plate on the table. I needed to brush first and probably wash my face. "You seemed tired," he said as a matter of fact.
