I get up and run out to the forest gate with everyone else behind me. It's already open courtesy of those on watch. Selene runs in.
"There's a boat!! There's a ship!!! It's coming our way!!!" she says, practically bouncing from excitement.
"A ship?" Emaline asks.
"It's coming this way? Are you sure?" I ask, almost not believing it.
"Yeah, I'm sure," she replies, beaming.
"What side of the island?"
"They seem to be going towards Ralph's old camp. It'll probably be where they'll make landfall."
I turn to everyone. "You heard her! A ship is coming. Grab all weapons, tools, and the prisoners and prepare to head up the mountain to the other camp! We need to be prepared for the possibility of an attack from the boys!"
There are yells of hurrah and joy, but everyone gets ready and we head up the mountain quickly. Once there, we collect the children and head towards where Ralph's camp is.
I can't believe it, we're going to be rescued!
