I grab a sharp rock from the ground and begin to cut the cloth that binds my hands together as I duck out of the running group behind a tree. I'm free not long after. I turn back and run into the fight.
I grab a forgotten spear from the ground as I look for to where to join in.
"HELP!!" I hear Olive yell. I turn and see her.
A ring of boys surround her.
I stab the spear into one's leg. He lets out a scream and stumbles at the pain. I kick him and get inside the circle.
"You shouldn't have done that," Olive mutters as we go back to back.
"Two's better than one," I reply, trying to not bring to mind the last time I was in the middle of a circle.
There are several cries to my right and Hannah joins us.
"For the record, Cassie ordered me to," she says.
Then the Savages finally come towards us.
With Hannah on our side, the Savages don't have much of a chance.... Then again, Cassie did join in not long after the Savages attacked.
