Chapter 3

     I zoomed around the corner not paying any attention to the road just thinking about where Harry might be.

BAM!!!!

~One week later~

     “Why does my head hurt so much?” I said hoarsely. Where am I? WHY AM I IN A HOSPITAL BED!? I had no clue what had happened or why I was here in the first place. I put my hand on my head, wow I had a huge headache! When I touch my head I felt something weird, I suddenly knew it was gauze. Why did I have gauze on my head in the first place? All the sudden somebody came in the room, it was Harry!

“Where have you been? Why weren’t you at the flat? Why didn’t you call me? What is wrong with you? But most importantly what happened!?” I said hoarsely but loud enough to show my anger.

“S-something c-can u-up,” he said.

Why was he so scared. He was practically shaking. All I knew was something happened I just didn’t know what!

I looked at him but his eyes were staring at his feet, “Please tell me I am your best friend. No more than that! I tell you everything and you can’t even tell me this!?” I was starting to grow angry.

“I know you tell me everything, but I…. I just can’t…. just can’t tell you here! I am so sorry I wish I could! I wish I could…..” he said trailing off at the end.

I wonder what happened, maybe now would be a good time to figure out why I am in a hospital bed!

“Fine then tell me later! But please tell me why I am in the hospital!”

“You.... you were in a car crash, but you were in a coma for a whole week so you probably don’t remember anything, do you?”

“I… I was in a car crash?” I was so shocked. I had absolutly no clue. 

“Yes, yes you were I was the first person they called since I was on your list! That’s how I know all this stuff!”

     I realized at this very moment I could have been dead. Tears started streaming down my face, I had life flash before my eyes! But this means there is a reason I didn’t go, a reason that said I had something big going to happen and I needed to fulfill this task before I was ready to go!

“How long till I can get out of here?” I asked.

“I don’t know let me go ask the nurse. I’ll be right back, don’t worry you will be ok!”

Wow I can’t believe he remembered my fear of hospitals that was so long ago! I wondered what happened to Harry he looks like a mess!? But also he looked like he had something to hide!

“They just need to do a checkup and then they will see if you’re ready to go Rose!” he cheered.

“When’s the checkup?”

There’s a knock on the door and the doctor walks in.

“Right now!” he said smiling.

“Way to state the obvious!”
