Chapter 3 - Cupid Discoveries
Ashley Jason on side--->

Since I don't have a clue what's going on with Charles, I decided to tell April the whole thing. I explained everything neatly during lunch, and April was totally shocked.
"If Mrs. Robinson couldn't see him, you mean he's a spiritual thing?"
"I dunno," I said as I popped a potato chip in my mouth.
"Maybe you should make things clear next time he finds you." April said worriedly. I ran my fingers through my wavy brown hair. I didn't know what to do next, but since Charles doesn't study here, I guess I'll have to wait until he eventually comes and find me again.

I went to the library as usual, but April tagged along."I have to see that guy"was her excuse, but I think it was more like"I want to see a hot guy".
But you'll never guess who I saw there. Never.
Jacob Evans.
April was practically jumping around excitedly and I stood still. Or rather, unable to move. His messy blonde hair made him look so sexy. He scanned the bookshelf and took a red covered book. It took me a few moments later to recognize- it's The Cupid Act. I stared at him as he walked to the borrow counter. Mrs. Robinson helped him with the book and he approached the door as soon as the book was handed back. Then he noticed me staring at him. I instantly looked away, but I guess it didn't make him go away. He turned around and walked towards me. Oh my god. Jacob Evans is walking towards me. I repeated the sentence three times but it didn't calm me down. I was startled by the sudden approach, so I took a few steps backwards and he smirked at me, pacing quicker. I tried to signal April for help but she took no notice of me. She was talking to- Charles? No wait, it was a girl who looked very similar to Charles.
I knew it was wrong to try to signal April because Jacob caught me offguard and grabbed my arm. I tried to move my legs but they are petrified.
He let go of me. "Hi," I greeted awkwardly, blushing at the same time.
"Hey. Why are you so... frightened?"
"B-because you are Jacob Evans?" I suggested, or, stammered.
"Possibly," he smirked. "Anyway, do we have any class together? You looked familiar." He examined my face and body.
I nodded, trying to act natural and ignore the fact that he was making me nervous. "Yes. Well actually you sit next to me in maths class."But you're probably too busy with Ashley to notice me, I mentally added.
"Actually I'm not really in love with Ashley now."
Wait, did I say that out loud?
"Yeah, you did."
Embarrassed, I changed the topic."Why this book? Not a good one."
"I don't know, I guess it's the cover."
"Right." It's the point why I chose the book in the first place. The cover was pretty attractive.
"I, uh, probably have to go now. Nice meeting you Rachel."He waved goodbye.
Before I even have time to tell him he got my name wrong, April tapped on my shoulder.
"Oh right, you finally finished chatting with Mr. Popular."
I rolled my eyes. "Yep. And he is so handsome I couldn't keep my eyes off him." I said sarcastically.
"Right, this is Venice. She's Charles sister."
Wait. Charles has a sister? I never knew. I frowned. Venice must have noticed that because she tried to comfort me. I gently shook my head and gave her a closed-mouth grin.
"Anyways, nice to meet you," I said as we shooked hands.
"You too." She smiled.
Although she looked like Charles, their personality is totally a big difference. Venice is a lot friendlier and sweeter, despite the fact she has such a horrible but hot brother. She is a blonde like April, except that they are curlier and messier, but what makes me recognize that she looked like Charles was her light brown gleaming eyes.
"My brother's unwell, so he gave his job to me. I'm more a straightforward person than he is, so I'll be telling you the main purpose I'm here."
April chuckled. "You'll be so excited about this!"
To be honest, I feel nevous over excited. Actually everyone would, I expect.
"What is it, Venice?"
She took a deep breath."I am a Cupid and..."she trailed off.
What? The fact that Charles has a sister is already so ever shocking. Cupids? I must be dreaming, I must be dreaming. I tried to keep that voice shut and look as if everything isn't a big deal. But it is. Shut up. I took a deep breath and I tried to calm myself down.
"And..." I reapeated.
"Everything you read about us on the book Jacob just borrowed is right. Just one thing you need to know- if you don't make your guy fall for you, you'll regret a lifetime and you won't want to know the consequences."
"Wow... okay." That's a lot to take in, I guess I'll have to take some time to digest all the information. "Wait- how come April can see you but Mrs. Robinson cannot?"
"Only the unmarried can see us because they need our help."She explained as-the-matter-of-factly.
Venice's voice dragged me back to our topic,"And you meant to be partner is,"she stopped.
Why did she stop?"Who?"I asked curiously.
Just as she is about to tell me, April interrupted us.
"Wait! Let me tell you why I had been so excited first!" she smiled like a fool," My meant to be partner is Wayne!"
Wait, what?"Your Wayne?" she nodded.
Wow. I didn't imagine that April's first guy is her lifetime partner, but she's lucky because Wayne isn't a jerk.
Thirsty for information, I asked eagerly,"How about me?"
"Your partner, is Mr. Popular."she smiled.

Since many people put notes at the back of their chapters, I decide to try to put it.
How do you think about this chapter? It's a sort of cliffhanger but somehow not. I promise the story will have more ups and downs or emotional moments but now I dont really have any inspiration:(
