Chapter 9 - Bad News

***

You may wonder why my first kiss was so romantic and perfect. I mean, who has a first kiss that lasts longer than 3 seconds and wasn't awkward?

To be honest with you, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing at that time. That feeling just linger onto your lips when you kiss somebody you like, I guess. You feel that explosion inside yourself - a bunch of fireworks were fired and a universe of butterflies were released inside my stomach. You knew it was right.

It was just the connection you feel made you understand you are kissing somebody you like.

And I like Jacob, and it's not 'I think' anymore.

I like him in the boy-girl way.

I was desperate, even though we would eventually get together because he was my true love, I couldn't hate the fact he still wasn't my boyfriend.

I pulled away from Jacob and saw his smile, not smirk, but smile. I gently pushed away his hand and asked him,"What does this mean?"

"I like you, sugar,"he answered with no hesitation.

"What does this mean? It can't be just because you like me so you took away my first kiss like that, you owe me an explanation," I said.

"Yeah, alright," he chuckled as he rolled his eyes. I simply smiled and looked at him.

"I'll call you tonight, okay?" he said waving up his phone.

"Okay," I said.

I walked away and kept the grin on my face. I mean, it was my first kiss after all. How could I not feel happy?

I flung open the door once I got back home.

"Mom, I'm home!"

"Did you have a good time?"

"Yeah," I said sacarstically.

"I made you some pasta, go get changed and eat them."

"Alrighty," I said as I rushed upstairs.

I laid on my bed once I got inside my room.

I closed my eyes and felt the sensation left on my lips, and grinned like a fool.

It finally happened.

My first kiss.

I got changed quickly and ran downstairs, seeing mom heating up my pasta.

"Mom, I think I'm going to tell you something,"I said nervously.

"You can tell me anything sweetie."

"I-I just, um, you know, um..."I trailed off, searching for the right words.

"What?"

I took a deep breath.

"Ijusthadmyfirstkiss."

"Pardon?"

"I just had my first kiss."

"Oh, look who's all grown up! Who's that lucky guy?"

"Jacob Evans."

"The boy from the rich family? You are so lucky, sweetie."

"Yeah, I know,"I blushed.

"Now gobble down the pasta. Slowly though."

I finished up my dinner and hopped upstairs cheerily.
