After Lau had left, I tried calling his brother and my sister multiple times and to no avail. I wasn't going to overreact and overthink about scenarios that could be happening because that causes stress and that's the last thing I need.

I took my mind off it by watching Black Mirror. Sooner or later I fell asleep on the couch, but woke back up as soon as my front door open. I looked over.

"Hey Lau— I mean Larry." He looked at me and shook his head at me, grabbing a chair and pulling it near me.

"So why you lie?" He clapped, shrugging once.

"About?" I say sitting up looking at him.

He tilted his head at me. "You exactly what I'm talking about Moella. I ask you where's Laurent you couldn't give me answer and you lie!" He raised his voice.

I stood up. "First off I don't know who you're talking to with all that volume so ima need you to take it down. Second off, how? Who knows where he goes after I'm not around?"

"So this is normal? He come over here everyday?"

"And if he does?"

"Moe he's not somebody to play with," he says looking around. "And now he knows where you live."

I rolled my eyes. "Being honest. I feel like you're lying right now. He's not as nearly as bad as you've been saying, and I feel like you're trying to keep him away from me for your sake." I sat back down, finally.

He sighed. "No. He's dangerous."

"No. He seems pretty nice, he's cool and funny. You know what I think your problem is?"

He looked at me confused. "You feel as if he's going to take me away from you, and I'm going to like him better than you and you don't want that because you like me."

"Yes I like you but I'm not worried about him taking you because I already got you before he did." He says smiling a little.

I squinted at him. "The hell does that mean? I feel like you got my sister before me if anything. You even left with her." His smile dropped.

He started shaking his head, reaching for my hand. "No. I had to go. I didn't know where you were and I thought you left me, so I left."

I'm glad I didn't open my big mouth about Laurent being there, because this could've been way worse. I look at him, feeling bad about what I assumed about him.

"Shit, I'm sorry. And I didn't leave. I went to the bathroom," My mouth filled with the lie.

He nodded, though he didn't seem convinced. He gave me a snug hug, kissing my forehead. "No offense but I like you better than your sister,"

I laughed, pulling away. "Whatever. But that's why you came over here? To confront me?"

Larry looked at me and nodded again. "I want to make hot chocolate for my hot chocolate."

"Cheesy ass." Was all I could say before bursting into laughter.

He walked into the kitchen and began making hot cocoa for the both of us. I just turned on the tv to something else as he made the hot chocolate.

"So you let him cook in here, how long did he stay?" I was suddenly bombarded with questions. I suck my teeth turning towards him.

"Larry, I'm watching tv." I replied, shushing him afterwards. He stomped his foot once like a toddler and went on to make the beverage.

After a while, he was done and brought over the hot beverages. I smiled at the smell as he handed me a mug. "Careful it's hot."

"Nah, it's cold." I take a sip right after, but ended up taking too much and I burned my tongue. "Ow!"

I could see his frustration as he set down his own drink. "What did I tell you?!" I pause the movie I was about to play as I began to baby my tongue.

I hold my the tip of my tongue out as I set my mug down beside his. "I know I just started drinking too quick. I'm gonna go get some ice."

He raises an eyebrow. "For what? Come. I know how to make it feel better." He held my hand gently pulling it to sit me back down on my butt. I looked at him and waited.

He then leaned in and gave me a kiss, tongue and all. It wasn't messy but it was sure pleasurable. I enjoyed all 4 seconds of it. After he pulled away he looked at me then grabbed his drink, sipping it slowly.

Larry tried so hard to act like he didn't just do what he just did. It lowkey made me wet but I tried to play it off.

"Play the movie. What happened?" He says, gesturing at my tv.

I grunt in frustration as I grabbed the remote and pressed play. I curled up on the couch next to Larry as the movie began to play.

As the movie played I noticed either a person or another tree outside my window. Larry didn't notice, as he was too busy smiling at the movie. I turned my head and squinted at the window to see Lau, standing there with his arms crossed, standing in the middle of the window not hiding. He probably knew his brother would pay no attention.

I thought he wasn't looking at me, but then it struck me that he was staring right at me. Even though I knew who it was it made my blood run cold. I took one long sip of my cocoa and got up, walking over to my master bedroom.

"Where you going?"

I turned around to see Larry, looking at me.

"Bathroom." He nodded, turning his head back to the tv.
