I looked out the window as Larry drove me back to his place, soft music playing from the radio. I kept thinking about Laurent. Not that I don't like Larry, but his brother won't leave my mind.

He seemed to notice how distance I was acting.

"Moe, you okay?" He asked, as he looked at the road, as he rested a hand on my thigh. I turned towards him slightly.

"Mmhm." I hummed, looking at his profile. He clenched his jaw, then turned to look at me briefly.

"You lie. What's wrong?" He questioned, being very persistent. I place my hand on top of his for a moment.

I smiled, a genuine smile. "I'm fine, seriously. Just enjoying the view."

"And you live here all your life?" He huffed. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm usually at home when the sun goes down. I don't have friends in this city," I countered, sitting up in the seat.

He looked at me as we were stopped at a red light. "Well, you have me." I raised my eyebrows at him, waiting for him to continue but he stopped there.

I nodded, looking away. I felt as if he wanted to say I was his girlfriend, but it couldn't have been. It was weird saying that especially when we haven't even kissed or nothing.

"Good to know." My tone came off harsh, I'll admit. He parked as we finally arrived at him condo.

We both got out the car but when he came on my side, he stood in front of me, blocking my way. The sun was almost all the way down and he just looked like a big old shadow.

"What are you doing?" I asked, confused.

He pointed to the car. "Get back in for a second, please."

I didn't ask, I just did it. He closed the car door, then backed up. I looked at him through then window as he then approached the car, and opened the door for me.

"Wow. Thank you," I say before turning around to close the door but he slapped my hand away lightly.

"Huh?"

"No. That's my job." He insist, closing the door behind me and putting his arm over my shoulder. We walked into the building and into the elevator.

He looks at me for a moment and smiles, with a giddy attitude.

"What's the problem?" I looked up at him.

He shakes his head, looking straight on to the elevator doors as they opened.

With Larry's arm still over my shoulders we walk out of the elevator. Out of instinct, I wrap my arms around his waist, squeezing him lightly as we began to waddle down the hallway.

"You miss me?" He asked suddenly as we made our way to his door. I couldn't help but smile.

He took his arm from over my shoulders so he could unlock the door.

"Of course," I responded as he pushed the door open, revealing the luxurious space he called home. I still couldn't get over it.

Like I couldn't get over the thought of Laurent.

"I have like a shirt for you to sleep in, but I think it will be too big." He says looking at me.

"I sleep in big shirts, it's perfect." I added, walking over to sit on the couch.

"Good!" He piped up, jogging up the steps that led to the upper level. He quickly went in then came out, jogging back down the few steps and handed me a large white shirt.

"Thank you."

He hummed. "Come to the bedroom. You not sleeping out here belle."

I stood up, walking to the bedroom, with Larry following behind me. The master bedroom is just as nice as the rest of the condo. I laid myself out on his bed, trying to take up all of the space which was impossible on this king size.

He walked into his master bathroom for a moment. Then came back in just a t-shirt and basketball shorts. I saw the light switch off I then felt a smack on my butt. I groaned.

"Ouch," I rolled over to one side of the bed, giggling.

"I didn't hit that hard. It was just like, tap." He makes a tapping sound with his mouth. I rolled my eyes. It didn't mind actually, I liked it. He could do that all day to me and I wouldn't care one bit.

He turned on the tv and began surfing channels and my mind began to drift off some place else.

I began to kind of turn myself to look at the two windows in Larry's room to see if I saw someone standing in the darkness, gladly yet sadly to avail. He couldn't have just left like that because he had no other place to go.

Yet I could probably search the whole place and not find him peaking out the window.

I sound ridiculous. Why should I care about someone who stalks people? Specially if they're gone. I couldn't help to admit I was a little bit sad though.

Suddenly I found myself on top of Larry, my ear to his chest and his hand to my lower back as he propped himself on some pillows.

I didn't even bother looking at the tv.  Yet I could see the light of the tv change against the dark walls. The volume turned down about half way.

"Moe, I know you're not okay." He whispers, his voice low and husky.

I tilt my head up slightly to look at him. He was still looking at the tv though. "I thought we were done with that conversation."

"But you not okay." He said, began to rub my lower back.

"Were you with another girl? That's why you didn't see me this morning?" I blurted out. I sat up, looking at him as I propped myself up on my elbow picking my upper bottom off of him our legs someone still intertwined.

He stayed silent, looking at me. Upset, he mutes the tv completely. "Laurent tell you that bullshit?" He spat.

"If he did? You seem pressed," I scooted away from him. Larry shook his head, placing the remote control by his side.

"You believe him what he say?"

"If I do?"

"Stop adding question to my questions." Larry spoke up. "You think I like other girls?"

"I don't know, that's why I asked." I shrugged, looking at the tv briefly.

"No. He lie because he want you and so he can take you from me." He expressed, his hands speaking for him.  "I'm only looking at you, baby."

"Baby? You heard what you just said?" I pointed at him.

"I'm not stupid, duh. I call you baby. You don't like dat?" He raises an eyebrow, picking the the remote back up.

"I do."

"Then why you scoot back? Come here." He gestured for me to scoot over. I just got back in my normal position, but with hesitation.
