A/N: If we're being honest I didn't think this book was going to get past 100 reads lmao but thank y'all for reading ! (500 reads)
My eyes flutter open to Larry's big brown ones. I couldn't help but smirk a bit. I push a pillow in his face.
"Stop staring at me like that, you're getting like your brother," I lifted the pillow off his to see the annoyance in his eyes. He sucked his teeth.
"I'm not like him." He claimed. I sat up, attempting to fix my hair from whatever state it was in.
"Says his twin." I look over at him and he just shakes his head.
He gets out of his side of the bed, making it up quickly yet sloppy. He walk towards the bedroom door slowly, but then he comes to a stop. He turns his head slightly over his shoulder. "I'm going to cook breakfast for you."
"Thank you." I respond.
He walks over and gives me firm peck on the cheek. "Of course, anything for my baby." I was taken back in that moment.
Larry then left the room to prepare the meal. I sat on the edge of the bed, so tempted to submerge myself in his sheets to think about life, or just go to sleep like normal people.
Instead I decided to explore his room, the various photos of him and Laurent placed in small areas around his room, something I didn't notice when I came in here panicking.
They were mostly younger photos of the two. I picked one up and I could barely tell who was who and I just kind of smiled at how identical they really are. I placed it back and sat on his bed. I was so close to beginning my pondering session about how the hell I got myself in between these two before I hear Larry's voice.
"The food is ready!"
I could smell the beautiful scent in the air stronger than what I did a few seconds ago. I hopped off his bed and made my way to his kitchen, sitting at the table as a plate of steaming food was placed in front of me.
"It look good," I say beginning to pick some of the food up with my fork.
"But it taste great." He pipes up, placing his plate in front of mine on the counter as he stood. The cockiness he gave off just then reminded me of Laurent.
I took another bite the food. "So I want to take you out tonight, to make for the time I haven't spent with you." Larry says, leaning over the counter looking me dead in my eyes.
My heart leaped. "Of course," I looked away for a second, the eye contact becoming too much for me at the moment. "I would love that."
"Good. You have to love it!" He grinned, eating his food. He then randomly starts dancing around the kitchen, making a fool of himself. I just sat and watch, enjoying my breakfast.
"You must of been a rambunctious child," I shake my head, laughing. He stops to look at me.
"A what?"
"Rambunctious child ?"
"What's that?"
"Hyper child." I had almost forgotten that the English language wasn't his first language. But then again even if it was, I don't think many people even know what that means.
"Ohh." He says in realization but I know that went in one ear and out the other.
Suddenly I hear the ringtone of someone's phone. Before I could even move from my seat, Larry zooms off into his bedroom to the phone.
He comes back, his phone to his ear.
"Hello?" His voice monotone. I watch his facial expression as he listened to whoever was speaking on the other line.
"No, I don't have any space. You have a lot of money. Buy one for yourself." He says looking over at me. I raised an eyebrow, but he holds up a finger indicating wait.
"I don't think there's nothing in this building— I don't care!" He says, turning around to beginning pacing around the room.
I finished my plate of food, putting the plate in the washer. I still continued to listen to the tense conversation, which I assume could only be him and his brother.
"She don't." He rushes. Larry looks over at me for a moment. "Why? You say you didn't want her. You said that she won't see you anymore." He gestured for me to come over where he was.
"Why you so worried about her. You not even here anymore." He looked at me rolling his eyes in a playful way.
Not going to lie, I sort of feel some type of way towards Laurent. His intentions aren't what sway me.
Larry then moved his ear away from the phone, handing it to me. "He wants to talk," he said, not sounding too glad.
I had to take a deep breaths for a moment. I could feel myself becoming annoyed.
I put his phone to my ear. I waited a moment before saying anything to him. "Lau?"
"Moela."
"Moe is fine," I trailed off. He sighed.
"You mad at me?" He asked, his voice going down with each word.
"I don't know." I lied. I knew damn well I was upset.
"Of course you know." He overlapped my words. "I care but I know it sounded like I didn't last night."
I sucked my teeth. "You didn't. You said I didn't have to worry about you. Yet here you are the phone with me." I started to get ticked off.
The line went silent for a moment. I could hear him lightly breathing. "I'm sorry."
I wanted to slap him. I was infuriated by the fact that he really thought that that was all that needed to be said. It occurred to me that the only reason it seemed he was even trying to be with me is the fact that he was trying to get at his brother.
Then when it didn't work out, he left. I thought he was defending me but the way he mention Larry being with another girl was more of him taunting me, to prevent me from going with Larry. I was being played.
"No it's okay. I understand." I look towards Larry. "Come get your phone."
"Moe."
"Laurent. I know what's going on. Just stop." My voice softened.
Larry took the phone from my ear, hanging up. His big brown eyes, confused, searched for my expression.
"What happened?"
"Nothing," I responded.
I suddenly groan. "What time are we going?" I tried to change the subject so he wouldn't question me.
"7."
"Where are we going?" I asked. I was trying to mentally prepare my outfit.
"Dinner. I like dinner. You like dinner?" He glared at me for a moment.
I nodded, smiling hella hard.
"Hm." He hummed. "Good. Wear something sexy,"
"If you insist," I rolled my eyes jokingly.
