Killer vs Killer

Jughead smiled maniacally. His smirk seemed to flood every crevice of his wily face with darkness. He listened to the melodic grumbling of his engine. The old car waddled down the old road as he scanned for hitchhikers. The glint of a silver knife caked with the blood of the hitchhikers he had killed was nearly blinding.

Without warning, a curvaceous sillouette was illuminated by his headlights. The blonde beauty who's perfect features could be rivaled by no other held out her thumb. The same mischievous look that Jughead wore was crossing her face.

Betty Cooper fiddled with the knife she had in her backpocket. She was just itching for someone to pick her up, for her next victim to come naively rolling by and swing open its doors, unsuspecting of her horrid intentions.

A pair of bright headlights came careening down the highway. She could vaguely make out the face of a handsome boy with a gray speckled beanie. The car slowed to a crawl. Betty skipped to the passenger door, blonde ponytail bouncing behind. She planted herself in the seat.

Once they got down the road a bit, Jughead turned on the radio, eager to drown her inevitable screams in retro music. With a silvery flash, his knife was against her throat.

But not before Betty did the same.

"You too?" she giggled.

They both blushed profusely. The scarlet of their cheeks was radiating and pulsating. They sheathed their weapons and looked at each, really looked, examining each other.

"You're a psychopath!" Jughead laughed. "This isn't badass, it's crazy."

Betty's hand reflexively went to the switchblade in her sleeve, then relaxed a bit as she gazed into his sea green eyes. "You say, tomato, I say tomahto darling."
