Bughead One Shots

The Tall One

"Jug, have you seen my shirt?"

Betty searched around, wearing her classic black leggings and lacy bralette. She turned a corner and saw him grinning with her shirt held high above his head. She sighed and shook her head.

"C'mon, give it back."

"No way," he teased, "I like your outfit the way it is."

Her brow furrowed as she huffed, "I don't have a shirt!"

"I know," he smirked slyly.

He held her top high above his head, dangling it just out of reach. Betty struggled on her tippy toes to grasp it.

"Jug I swear on God-" She kicked him in the shin as a last effort to grab it, giggling at the scrunched up face he made. "Fine. I'm going to find a different shirt."

*TIME SKIP: 30 MINUTES*

Betty crept around the corner. She saw Jughead teetering on the stool by the counter. Her shirt was still draped on his shoulder. She lifted her slender body onto the stool behind him and groped for it. She feebly attempted to launch herself onto him.

He swiveled around. "Tisk tisk tisk."

"Forsynthe Pendelton Jones III, I am going to strangle you!"

"Can you even reach my neck?" he chided.

"For god's sake-" she stammered harshly. She stormed back into her room, poking her tongue out at Jughead. He rolled his eyes and chuckled.

*TIME SKIP: 1 HOUR*

Betty slunk out of the door frame. She carefully monitored the floorboards to make sure it didn't creak under her fluffy pink socks. In the other room, Jughead had already fallen fast asleep, her shirt precariously dangling off the edge of the couch. She made her way to the kitchen and grabbed a cup from the cupboard. She inched to the fridge and watched a steady dribble of glacier-like cold water fill it to the brim.

She stood on the couch. The springs screamed in protest. She stretched her arm over his head.

Jughead awoke to a splash of icy water soaking his charcoal beanie.

"WHO'S THE TALL ONE NOW MOTHERFUCKER!"
