An Enchanted Connection - [8]

"Oh, shut up, Hiccup!"

Sophia looked down at the forests of Scotland. Toothless smiled widely, his big teeth shining in the sun rays light. The white haired girl laughed hard then squealed as Toothless dived down, gliding through the trees fast. Baby Tooth flew after them, her wings fluttering against the small breeze.

Sophie shrieked with glee and glanced at Pascal, who was holding on to her hair in a death grip. She giggled and grabbed him, putting him on her shoulder as she looked down at Toothless.

"Buddy, can you slow down? Pascal is going to fall off or have a heart attack." He let out a friendly grunt and flew up towards the sleigh above them.

Baby Tooth halted and looked up towards them and screamed in frustration before flying to catch up with them. Pascal laughed at her over the Sophia's shoulders and gave her a smug grin.

Sophia smiled brightly when Toothless got level with the sleigh. "Still scared, Bugs Bunny?" she teased when she caught sight of the trembling 6' foot rabbit.

"Oh shove off you little show pony!" he snapped playfully, hiding his grin.

Toothless flew behind the sleigh and shot forward underneath it, starting to do spins around the sleigh at a fast speed. Sophia shrieked with laughter as Pascal held onto her hair again.

"Look!" Tooth called, pointing into the distance as they flew over forests and rivers. An old stone fort, Merida's home, was still there after all this time. They flew over it and dived down into the courtyard, landing steadily onto the floor.

The fort was empty, and Sophia looked around. She climbed of Toothless and began walking to the doors of the fort, the Guardians and Baby Tooth following her. She pushed the doors open and looked around at the old, rotten walls and the furniture.

She slowly walked to the stairs and they all broke up to search the rooms; Sophia immediately went to Merida's parents room and searched around to find nothing which drew her into a dream like state. She headed to Merida's room and looked around before her eyes rested on the tapestry of Eleanor and Merida.

She brushed her fingers against the old silk, and she frowned in sadness when it didn't throw her into memories.

She turned around to walk again, and her hands brushed against a part of the tapestry, when her eyes were blinded with a bright light.

Images of Merida, her mother, father, three brothers and a bear filled her vision until she fell over. She turned and stared at her fingers still lightly touching the tapestry where Merida's mother was. Sophia's eyes widened when she realized it wasn't the tapestry, it was Eleanor.

"Sophia?!" she heard Tooth call. She got up, and pulled at the tapestry, the old screws broke away and it fell over her.

"Oof!" she called. She pushed it off her and stood up, beginning to roll the tapestry up so she could carry it back to the sleigh.

The Guardians all rushed in, weapons drawn until they saw Sophia standing there, the tapestry tucked under her arm.

"There's been chaos in Burgess! We have to get there now!" North said and Sandy nodded, signing it out.

"Then let's go!" Sophia said.

They all rushed to the sleigh in the courtyard. Sophia put the tapestry in the back of the sleigh and jumped on Toothless and they were all of into the air, heading for America.

Pascal was still holding onto Sophia's hair in a death grip, making Baby Tooth squeak at him and rush off to fly next to Toothless.

"Hurry up while you can." a voice whispered; a voice they couldn't hear.

"Time is running out." another voice murmured.

"Pitch is coming." a last voice muttered.

All three voices stepped out of the shadows; triplets, with curly ginger hair and freckles covering their faces. They watched them fly away and they all smiled in sync.

"Save our Merida." they all said.

"Ah, the Guardians. All trying so hard to save their friends and the children of the world." Pitch whispered in his cave underneath Burgess. Some nightmare horses whined and he snarled at them, making them step back.

"Sophia will try to defend her friends, but she knows she can only do it in her dreams." Pitch began to laugh, making all of the nightmare horses back up.

"This is going to be fun." he whispered, smirking, his fangs showing as he turned to his army. "To Burgess! Make sure Sophia and the Guardians never reach the lake." they horses all neighed and they rushed off to cause more havoc in the small town located in Pennsylvania. Pitch continued to laugh, then he looked down into his hand where four figures stood, made out of his nightmare sand.

"One day, you will ALL be destroyed." he hissed and squished the figures in his hand. He disappeared into the shadows, smirking as he put his final plan into motion.
