I woke up the next morning feeling well rested and relaxed. I emerged from my bedroom, woken up to the smell of bacon and cooking eggs. My mother greeted me and I sat down to eat. I noticed that I actually was very hungry. After I ate I say back down on my bed to check my phone. I realized that I had a text from Aaron. I was still kind of angry at him because he ignored me the whole ride home.
Good morning! :-)
I read it still contemplating replying or not. I decided I would because I really had no reason to still be mad at him.
Good morning! How are you?
I sighed and got up to get ready for the day. I made my way to the shower before getting dressed. I slipped on a pair of leggings and a plain white t-shirt so I could be comfy. It was still pretty cold outside even thought we were approaching May.
I wondered back to my bed to find that I had a text from Aaron continuing our conversation.
I'm good, I would like to see you soon!
I read it probably I hundred times but I don't even care.
I would too! Wanna hang out today?
I sent the text and laid back on my bed smiling like an idiot into my pillow.
I would love too! I'll meet you at the falls in an hour.
I loved the falls. It was beautiful and it was a place where you could always find something to talk about. It was magical there.
See you soon!
I replied and then looked through my clothes so I could find something cuter than just a shirt. I kept on my leggings so I could be comfy. I threw on a white blouse with a scarf and decided I looks well.
I went out into the kitchen to find my mother. I needed a ride. I wish I was older so I could just drive myself places, but for now I had to deal with this.
My mother and I pulled up to the falls. I got out and waved goodbye. I was still fairly early so I treaded to the top to admire the beauty of the nature that stood in front of me.
"Why hello there"
I was quite startled and I felt myself jump a little. I looked behind me to see Aaron laughing.
"What do you think you're laughing at!?" I looked at him and his shining blue eyes.
"I scared you."
He's such a little kid but I loved it.
"Did not!"
"Oh I so did."
"Fine you got me."
We laughed and talked while walking down the falls. It really was beautiful. So was he.
"Hey are you going to spring formal with anyone." He asked me.
I felt my eye widen.
"N-no" I stuttered.
"Oh ok."
That's it. That's all he said. I kind of forgot about the dance, but now that he mentioned it I really wanted to go with him.
"And what about you?" I asked. I was nervous about his answer. I hoped he wasn't going with another girl. That would suck.
"No, I'll probably just go alone." He laughed a little at the end.
Go with me! I thought. I just wanted him to ask me now.
"Alone isn't a bad thing necessarily." I said. I should probably just stop talked now. I'm not helping myself.
"Haha yeah I guess you are right."
I'm so stupid why did I say that.
We walked and talked a little more until I asked my mom to come pick me up.
Me and Aaron went into a goodbye hug and then we were on our way.
I'll admit, I'm pretty sad he didn't ask me. Oh well.
Upon returning home I looked at my phone to see I had a text from my friend Saddie.
Hey girl I'm having an after party for after spring formal. Please come!
It read. That sounded really fun.
I would love to!
I replied. I was super excited for spring formal now. This was going to be a blast.
