The next couple of days were complete agony. The dance was this weekend. I didn't have a dress or anything. I know I would have to look my absolute best for Aaron.

Aaron was also going to be going to Saddie's after party as well as me. So needless to say this was going to be a pretty eventful night.

It was already Wednesday and the dance was on Friday and I needed to get a dress.

I talked to Casey and we decided on going to the mall tomorrow to buy a dress. Casey was one of my absolute best friends. She had big brown curls and eyes lashes that were outrageously long.

I had a lot of best friends though. A lot of people I feel like I can trust. I do. I do trust them all very much and I'm an open book. They know everything and there is nothing to hide.

.

The next day I sat through all my classes extremely bored. My science was easy, gym was gym, orchestra was always fun with me and my friend Tori. I had lunch and then trigonometry, which was always difficult. I had drawing and painting, which always went by too quickly. French, which always went by too slowly. Global, which was a snooze fest and then finally English which I did not enjoy what so ever.

So overall with everything a lot of my classes sucked but I also enjoyed some of them. I was doing very well in all subjects so I couldn't complain. Soon enough classes will be over and so will finals, then I can kick back this summer.

The final bell rang for the day. I packed up my stuff and walked to Casey's locker so we could head off to the mall.

Once we got there we went in a couple stores. I didn't really see anything I liked yet, nothing my style. Casey and I went to the food court to get some food before continuing to shop. I got Chinese food as usual. I hurried to eat so that I could go back to dress hunting. I really didn't want to be at the mall all night.

We finished and headed back downstairs to go into a couple more shops. By then if I don't find anything then I will just wear an old dress buried somewhere in my room. Casey dragged me into a boutique that looked too expensive for me. I only had forty dollars for something new.

I searched through a couple racks until I stopped on a beautiful dress. The top consisted of teal lace and below the waistband was plain black. It was a tight dress but I think it would be fine with my parents if I wore it. it was short but that's fine because I'm always careful. I picked it up and showed Casey. She smiled and agreed that it was certainly extraordinary. I go to the fitting room to try it on real quick. I quickly zip the dress and see how it looks. It was a perfect fit and looked stunning. It hugged my body, but in the right places. Not too showy, but perfect.

I probably shouldn't have tried on the dress without looking at the price. considering this was an expensive store I was a little afraid. When I glanced down I saw that I said it was on sale. For 50 dollars. Just my luck of course.

I remerged from the fitting room. Casey looked at me with a smile. She quickly saw that I upset.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't have enough money for the dress."

"How much more do you need?"

"Probably about $15 with tax." I was beyond sad. This was the perfect dress and I probably won't find another one before leaving tonight.

"Here let me give you the extra" Casey said.

"Oh Casey, that's generous of you but it's alright."

"Nova really it's fine I didn't get you a birthday present anyways."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

I squealed and gave her a giant hug.

"You're a life saver."

"I know."

And with that we made our way to the register to check out. Finally we left the mall around 7 pm. The dance was tomorrow and I was very excited. Aaron as my date and Saddie's party after. I knew tomorrow was going to be memorable.

I got home and quickly did my homework. I wanted to get to bed because believe it or not I was extremely tired.

I looked at my phone and saw a text from Aaron.

What color tie should I wear?

Hmm purple?

Purple sounded great. It would look lovely with the teal and it would look better than just a plain black.

I only have a light purple is that okay? Aaron responded.

Even better!! Lavender was just perfect. Like my dress and my date and just tomorrow in general.

On that note I laid my head on my pillow and dozed off dreaming sweat dreams.

.

About 6 am the next day, my alarm went off. Yes it was Friday, yes the dance was tonight, but I still had school today.

I threw on my usual, tie dye shirt and leggings.

I sat through my extremely boring and non-productive classes until the last bell rang. I got on the bus, put my headphones in and waited until I was home.

About fifteen minutes later my stop came and I hopped off the bus.

When I entered my house I immediately started getting ready. I had a lot to do before I left my house. I was going to the dance with most of my friends and we were all meeting at Chloe's house. I have a lot of different friends with a lot of different names. I decided I would go to Chloe's to get ready and then we could just walk to the dance considering she lives right across the street from the school. I have to shave my legs, paint my nails, straighten my hair, do my makeup, and put on my dress. Aaron and I agreed that we didn't have to be together before the dance. We could always just get pictures at the dance or at Saddie's after.

I started with my nails. I painted them black. Some people think that's weird, but it's what I usually do. I had black in my dress anyways so it worked. Once they dried I jumped into the shower. I shaved and showered within 30 minutes. I was right on schedule. There were about three more hours until the dance. I blew my hair dry which took about 20 minutes, then straighten it, which took about another 15. I applied my makeup which consisted of light mascara. I was never one to load my face with make up and I never wore it on a normal day.

I looked at myself in the mirror and I was satisfied by my work. I looked very good. The only thing left to do was get dressed. By this time my mom was home. I ate some dinner quick before putting on my dress. I slipped it over my hips and then put my arms through the sleeves. I had to leave for Chloe's soon. I wanted some leeway time to just hang out with everyone before we went to the dance. I also ended picture with all my friends and that usually takes a while.

I grabbed my black vans and headed out the door. I would be caught dead in heels. Like the make up I was never a girly girl. Sneakers were way more comfortable anyways and this way I wouldn't break my feet.

I arrived at Chloe's around 6. The dance starts at 7. Perfect amount of time to take pictures and relax. Plus no one is really on time for dances. You have to be fashionably late.

I took what must have been two hundred pictures with my friends like Casey, Sam, Jordan, Laura, and others. It was a little after seven so we started walking.

We reached the doors of our school and pushed them open.

I'm so friking excited.
