Does this really mean freedom? No. It doesn't. Molly was running beside me and I made it to broadway. I went into the alleyway by the Richard Rodgers theator and set up camp. This is now my home. I wonder how long it will be my home. I shrugged and sat down and sighed, taking out my Alexander Hamilton book. I started reading it, ignoring everyone and everything in this world, but Molly, who was sitting beside me, happily.
Lin P.O.V
"Lin, I'm sure she's fine" Jonathan said to me, trying to comfort me. I didn't listen to him.
"But she's being abused and she just stopped showing up. I want to help her. I want her to be safe, but I don't where she lives and I can't help her. What if she's really badly hurt. What if she's gone forever and still getting abused" I said to Jonathan. He stared at me. I sighed. "Let's just go and get that pizza for lunch for the cast," I said and walked out of our dressing room. I grabbed Anthony and all three of us started walking out of the theater, after gathering everyone's orders.
Evelyns P.O.V
"Give me all your money," I heard a guy say. I put my stuff back in my bag and I grabbed my 4 dollars that I had in my bag. He took it and looked at me "Is that it? Well then" he said and shot me. He was going to take my bag, but he heard voices outside and ran.
"HELP!" I screamed before the world turned black, Molly laying next to me.
Lin's P.O.V
We heard someone scream for help and we all ran to the alley next to our theater. "THATS HER," I screamed and looked at her, "That's Evelyn! We need help her. Someone call an ambulance!". I ran over to her and picked her up. I was worried sick, but I couldn't help smiling at Molly, who followed me. Anthony called an ambulance and then we all sat and waited. Once it got there I told Anthony and Jonathan to get the food and I would call them when I get there. Then I got into my car and followed the ambulance to the hospital.
Time skip!
I fought to keep Molly by her owners side, but it was no use. Animal control took Molly out of the hospital and to whatever land they own. What will I tell Evelyn when she wakes up? I threw her bag next to me, but a book fell out. I grabbed it and smiled. It was about Alexander Hamilton. I put it back in her backpack and close it.
A little while later I hear a voice speak weakly "Where am I?" Shes awake. I smiled brightly and ran over to the hospital bed.
"You were shot, I called an ambulance and they brought you here. They did surgery or whatever and then I came in the room and was waiting for about an hour till you woke up" I answered.
Evelyn's P.O.V
"Lin," I said weakly, "Is that you?" I thought Lin forgot about me, but he didn't. He remembered me. "Wait, where's Molly?" I asked freaking out when I didn't see Molly.
"Yes it's me Lin and umm," I heard Lin say, "An-Animal Control t-took her..." my eyes went big and I started to cry. She's gone. I felt arms wrap around me and hug me tightly, and I hugged back. "It's going to be ok," Lin said to me.
"How do you know? What if I never see Molly again. She's all I have left," I said and pulled away from the hug. Lin looked at me. I looked down.
"I talked to some people. Anyways, I was thinking," he said to me, "We could hang out. Your able to leave and I need to talk you". I looked up and nodded.
"Ok. Tell me when it's time to leave. I'll get some real clothes on," I said. He nodded and left the room. I smiled and put on my clothes from earlier, even though it was a little bloody. I still couldn't believe it. Lin remembered me. But what about Molly. She's my pride and joy. She blows me away and outshines the morning sun. I fall apart without her. Without her I have nothing. She's all I have left...she's the only one that loves me.
"You ready?" Lin asked and snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yup. So what do you need to talk to me about?" I asked as we walked to his car.
"It's easier if I just show you," He said. And a little bit later we were are the Richard Rodgers theater. I was confused and looked at him.
"Why are we here?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled.
"Follow me. I'll show you," He said. We walked in and I smiled. I have never been some where so fancy. Well it's kinda fancy. It's a beautiful theater though. We went to the stage and there we chairs set up. I didn't see anyone, but Lin smiled. "I'll be right back," he said and walked backstage. I sat down and waited and a couple minutes later, I saw the whole cast of Hamilton, minus the ensemble, walking towards me. No. Way. This is has to be a dream.
