Chapter 18: Don't cry

Justina's P.O.V

     It was the end of lunch, but Evelyn was still not back. While everyone started heading to class I snuck away to find Evelyn.

     I walked into the bathroom to see Evelyn crying. Her eyes were red and puffy. I ran over and hugged her. "What's wrong?" I asked, pulling away to look into her eyes.

      "I'm stupid and ugly and don't deserve anything. Everyone hates me and acts like they like me and the cast of Hamilton only took me out of pity," Evelyn said as she cried more. I sighed and hugged her.

     "Don't cry. Your amazing and beautiful and the cast of Hamilton love you. They didn't take you out of pity. Now stop crying and I'll call Lin to pick me and you up," I responded.
She pulled away and I wiped away her tears. She nodded and handed me her phone.

Time skip

     "I'm sorry, Lin," Evelyn said as she sat in the passenger seat. I sat in the back seat.

     Lin looked at Evelyn and kissed her head before responding, "Look, it's ok. Now who wants to get ice cream,".

     "I'm in!" I responded cheerfully. Evelyn and Lin laughed. I laughed too as Lin started to drive.

     "So, were you at rehearsal when we called?" Evelyn asked to make sure she didn't interrupt him at rehearsal.

     "I was, but we were all eating lunch so it didn't matter," he responded. I heard Evelyn let out a sigh of relief.

Time skip

We picked up our ice cream, Evelyn got vanilla, I got cookies and cream, and I'm not really sure what Lin got.

We got back to the theater and said hi to everyone.

"KID!" Anthony yelled, running towards Evelyn. Behind him, Groff and Daveed came running.

Evelyn laughed before responding, "Hi best friends. Hi my king!". She hugged them each, careful not to drop her ice cream.

I went upstairs and put the remainder of my ice cream in the freezer. I sat down on Evelyn's couch, not really wanting to bother her.

Evelyn's P.O.V

     After talking to the cast and giving Thayne a cooking because he was begging because he knows I have a secret stash.

     "Hey," I said as I walked into my room. Justina lowered her book and looked at me.

     "Hey," She responded, smiling a little, "So, theres a dance for your school on Friday. Are you going?".

     I looked at her before responding, "Yeah, of course. Me, Arianna, and Athena are going. You guys should come too!". Justina laughed and took out her phone, I'm guessing to text Kevin, Trinity, and Riley, even though they couldn't answer.

     Smiling, I sat on the couch next to Justina and put on Full House. After a couple of episodes, I fell asleep on Justinas shoulder.

WHOO!! New chapter and we're getting closer to hitting 900!! I'm sorry that this is late and short, but it's something. I promise the next chapter will be longer. Well that's it.
