Your talk with Percy and Jason who was at the lake wasn't up to standards... either. Both of them kept opposing each other, with Percy saying you should learn to let go while Jason was more on Leo's side, tempting you with the past you had with Leo.

"The past is the past, Jason," Percy said as he nudged him on his forearm. "I know you mean well for Leo, but don't bribe with the past! That's like... the absolute worst." Jason gives a playful shrug and looked at you with sincere eyes.

"Well, I say wait and see where it goes," Jason said after a while.

"I say move on. There are many fishes in the sea, why latch onto one when you can have others?" Percy interjected, debunking Jason's point.

You ended up following Percy's idea. You figured it's the best since, he was technically right, there are many fishes in the sea, why latch to only Leo. And secondly, if loving Leo right now was a huge pain, why love him at all and cause suffering to only yourself. He's happy with Calypso, you deserve to be happy too.

However, even after the talk and you yelling over the lake you'll eventually stop thinking about Leo, things weren't easy. You bumped into him, and everything went downhill from there.

It was a simple meet, you casually making your way to the next class and Leo seeing you from the blacksmith area. He noticed you and called you, and even if you wanted to walk straight and pretend nothing happened, his voice had a sort of charm that was alluring you in. You ended up reacting to his call, turning your head and your eyes locked with his brown ones for a split second.

He called you again and you made your way towards him.

"So..." he drifted off, placing the weapon he was crafting aside. "How are you?"

There is a very thick layer of awkward that settled in the space between the two of you. He was more rigid, tensed and so were you.

"I'm fine," you said as simply as you can. Truth to be told, when Leo was gone, you were not fine. At all. It had hit you, when he was gone, that you love him, and it made you regret so badly how you did not kiss him back when he kissed you at the shed.

You mentally shook that memory out of your head knowing very well how emotional you would be.

"You sure?" he gave you a raised eyebrow and a playful smirk. They always complemented each other when Leo catches up on something you've not told him. He might have been gone for awhile, but he's still the same old Leo you love. "You have been avoiding me, haven't you."

"No," you blurt out. You start to feel your palms go sweaty, and for a really obvious reason, you dropped your gaze to the floor before connecting with Leo's stare. "I just haven't gotten the chance to meet you." You bit your lips knowing very well Leo can see right through your lies. You can see it from that same old twinkle in his eyes he had whenever he knew you were lying. "Things have changed Leo," you quickly added before reminding him you have to go for class.

"I guess I'll see you then, pumpkin," he gives you playful finger guns and a wink in your direction. You try your very best not to smile too wide at the sight, pursing your lips into a think line, giving him only a small smile.

You missed his stupid nicknames.

"I guess I'll see you then," you said and you walked off. The awkwardness that was a heavy weight on your shoulder was lifted. It was weird to talk to Leo with anything related to awkward because before he disappeared, anything with him was never awkward.

You sighed and went to class, but no matter how much you tried to focus in class, you couldn't. Thoughts of Leo flooded your mind like a tsunami. It's impact was huge, and it left no part of your thoughts empty for anything else. After that talk with Leo all you kept thinking about was him him him.

You gave a frustrated sigh as you trundled into your bed after a long and tiring day. It was too much to handle. Just from one meeting and suddenly you could list a whole list of reasons why you love him, on the spot.

You remembered so clearly how his eyelashes curl and the way he had some dirt on his face but he doesn't care. You remember his voice, the curls of his hair and the small flecks in his eyes. You remember everything, and a huge pang is in your chest as you wonder to yourself, why did you try to dent your feelings for him before. Were you afraid to love and not be loved back? If that's the case, that was your situation, and you found no desire to be in such a position again.

You got up from your bed and took out a piece of paper along with your pen. You know it's late. You might get caught and punished, but you needed to outlet for all things Leo, something personal that you figured you can't tell someone yet.

With the faint light from the candle, you wrote about your feelings when Leo came back, and how you felt when he came back but with Calypso who kissed him. You wrote about the kiss he gave you in the shed that still haunts you, and you wrote about how you regret till that day, you never kissed him back. You wrote about your denial about your feelings for him, and how his absence made you realise you really do love him. You wrote and wrote and wrote and when you emptied out everything Leo in your head, you neatly folded the paper and placed it in an envelope. With no address to send it to, with no recipient, you placed the letter in a small velvet box and hid it under your bed.

You fell asleep with a peaceful mind that night, and it was the start of your letters. Letters to no one, about anything and everything Leo Valdez.

Thank you for the small few who supports this story! So far I have about 4 chapters done but since I don't have an editor or a beta reader well... we're both stuck with unedited stories then :) Do continue to Vote, Comment and add this to your library / reading lists! I have a really interesting plot in mind for this story and I swear it's better than the original!
