Slowly my vision came back into focus. A quick and uncontrollable wave of panic ran through me when I could no longer feel Sara’s hand in mine. I looked over to see that Sara was still standing next to me. At some point our hands came apart as we traveled through the door.  I relaxed knowing she was still with me but only a little. Knowing that Sara was still with me and safe I was able to focus a little more on my surroundings.

In front of me stood a massive wall that was made out of some sort of white stone. It seemed to be carved rite out of the mountain that towered over the wall. It was the tallest mountain I had ever seen. It towered over the wall and the wall itself was so tall that I could not see a single thing over it as it looked to almost reach the clouds.

I looked to my left then my rite to see that the wall went on as far as my eyes could see. There were massive arch ways carved into the stone every fifty feet or so. After every four arch ways stood round towers that were even taller than the wall it’s self. They were topped with a pointed blue like rook. I assumed these towers were stair ways to reach the top of the wall. For the look outs.

Even though I could not see anything past the wall. I could hear a lot of noise behind the wall. It sounded like there mite me a city back there. I could hear people talking. Not that I could make any of it out. There were too many voices. I could also here laughter, and the sound of feet. There was running water somewhere near by.

As we approached the massive doors that were also carved rite out of the mountain side I could not help but notice all the guards that I did not notice before. There were about a dozen guarding the door. All staring at Sara and I. There were what I could only assume where archers standing watch from the top of the wall. Even though they were too far away for me to see them I could feel all of their eyes on me.

There would be no what of sneaking into this city. The thought quickly crossed my mind.

Then came my second thought. Why would anyone want to? I could already tell that this was the type of place that you were either invited into or stayed away from. The walls were made to keep some one out. I could not help but wonder who.

“Commander BaelEruil AleanUrdrenn approaches!” One of the guards yelled out.

All of their attention quickly turned from us onto him. Everyone seemed to become early still and quit as we took are last few steps towards the city gate.

“Open the doors. I seek passage through Light City to the Castle. I have orders form the Queen to bring these two Crossbreeds to her.

He looked quickly back at us. It was obvious form the look he was giving us the he wanted both of us to remain quite.

Why would he lie? Sara is not a crossbreed. She is a human. Is it really that big of a deal that she’s hear? What would happen if the others found out?

I could not help but be suddenly over whelmed with fear for her wellbeing. If something happened to her it would be my fault.  I don’t know if I could live with that.

The doors started opening and I could  not help but wonder how on earth they were able to open the doors. It did not seem humanly possible. That’s when it really hit me. We were no longer on earth and no one except Sara was a human.
