Ugly Truth

Chapter 4

Third person POV

Harry woke up to Sirius laughing, he didn't remember how he got here, he remembered falling asleep on Remus in Dumbledors office, but now he was awake in his bed.

Harry could still hear Sirius laughing, "Have you finished laughing yet?" Remus asked, a slight chuckle in his voice. And Sirius responded with a happy "No, your name is basically Wolf Wolf! The subtlety is beautiful." And he continued laughing, Remus stayed silent for a second, before replying "Sirius is known as the Dog Star and is in the constellation Canis Major. Canis is Latin for dog. Your animagus is a dog." He thought he had outsmarted Sirius, and he responded with "But my surname isn't related to dogs." And he went to say more but Remus cut him off with "You're a black dog, Sirius." Harry was trying so hard not to giggle, "Yeah but-" and Remus cut him off again "Hush, woof woof." And Harry couldn't hold in his laughter anymore and he was in hysterics.

"What's so funny, eh?" Sirius chuckled. "Y-you two.." He couldn't even finish his sentence before he was laughing again. The three got ready quickly, well Sirius sort of went into dog form and Harry and Remus got ready. Then they headed to breakfast, Harry now with a large black dog at his side 24/7.

"Hey Harry!" Hermione yelled, hugging him. "Heya." He responded smiling. "I'm better now, I can come back to lessons!" He grinned and sat down, grabbing Sirius' fur and pulling him onto the bench and sharing his food. "Who's this then?" Ron asked, everyone was oblivious to the fact it was Sirius. "Sirius." He answered, without thinking, and carried on eating. "Oh sweet. You named him after your uncle? That's so nice, Harry." Hermione commented, and Ron just nodded along.

"Hello students, first if I would like to start by saying that we have our DADA teacher back! Professor Lupin!" Dumbledor bellowed, and Lupin stood up to wave. Sirius woofed because he was hungry, he didn't see the point in acting human if he was clearly a dog. So he acted like a dog. Harry shoved the entire plate over to him and started to eat Hermione's food with her.

There was a lot of chatter in the hall, and pointing at Harry; rather at Sirius. Dumbledor decided to clean it up right there, "As you can see students, our beloved Harry Potter has a new companion, purely of his now guardians requests, they do not feel as though Harry is safe with what happened last year. The dog is here to comfort Harry in case he has a hard time with everything." And everyone seemed to believe it, and everyone piled out the hall. Harry had hold on the bandanna Remus had put around Sirius' neck, instead of a collar.

They were in a lesson, Sirius was laying under the table, to the request of Snape in potions class. Harry and Draco kept sparing glances at each other, "I will put you into pairs. Griffindor with a Slytherin." Everyone was listening, and groaning along. With their partners, "Malfoy and Potter!" And everybody gasped, Sirius was growling, Harry pat his head and went to sit next to Draco. They did their work, without any casualties. It was fine.

Draco passed Harry a piece of paper, just before the lesson ended. And then Draco upped and left, going to lunch. It was more or less the same as breakfast. Harry decided to check the paper. It read;

"Hey Lion, meet me at the stairs at 6 tonight. I'm a prefect so you won't get in trouble for being out past curfew, golden boy. Make eye contact with me when you read it.

- Snake"

So Harry did just that, he made eye contact with Draco across the Hall, and they both smiled, and Harry nodded, then they turned away from each other.

The rest of the day had been a blur, Harry wanted to hang out with Draco. He didn't know why he was so excited, but he was. It was about five to six and he snuck out in his invisibility cloak, he was just wearing his shirt, trousers and tie, he'd taken everything else off.
