Flashback

"Jungkook... what brings you back?" I said as I entered the office.

He was no longer the ball of sunshine he usually is. He looks conflicted and worried. The bags under his eyes signifies that he has been losing sleep.

"I know what happened." He said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked but I knew, I knew what he wanted to tell me.

"I know what happened to you... why won't you tell hyung?" He said as he narrowed my eyes.

"Did you tell him?" She said.

"It's your secret... not mine. But he's beating himself over the years thinking it was his fault."

"This is better..."

"Better? You're retreating... is 'better' another version of 'running away from your problems'."

"I was a kid back then... I didn't see his face. I didn't know what to do. My family is breaking apart because of me. Not that it was whole to begin with." I said while trying to remain calm but my breathing was already heavy.

"Maybe... but you're still doing nothing now. You're not a kid anymore." Jungkook said as his anger slowly reflects in his eyes

"Do you think it was that easy? Do you think it was easy for me to run away? Do you think it was easy that my parents turned away from me? Do you think I'm okay now?" I said.

"I'm close to finding him and I will find him. If he goes behind bars... you owe me."

My body stiffened and cleared my throat. I slowly sat on the chair trying to erase and stop the memories that are slowly coming in piece by piece

"Amy... I can't undo what he's done... but it's time to make things right. I'm not gonna ask you to help me if you still can't face him... all I ask for you is to be honest with Hyung."

"What should I say? That she died that night? That the girl from Busan that he loves is longer inside me?"

"Then tell him that... or are you scared? Are you scared to face the truth that she is still there but you're just suppressing it because you're denying yourself a chance to be happy?"

"I can never be happy after what happened."

"He was watching you here for months. If that girl is already dead, I don't think he would be coming back for that long."

"We'll be back next week to pick you up... five dates after that... if you ran away again... I'll tell him myself." He said as he turned away.

"Why are you doing this?" I said.

"Because he loves you. Seeing him suffer is breaking my heart. He loves you so much but you don't deserve him. He deserve someone who can fight for him. But he's unable to do that because your memory still hangs inside his mind."

He turned around.

"So that's all I'm asking of you. To talk to him. To make him forget you if you can't love him again. He at least deserved that. Promise me that and I'll do what I can to put your... behind bars."
