Two months later

[Maleficent's POV]

Aurora adjusted the flower crown she had entangled in my horns. "Stay still, Mother!" She exclaimed. I very much enjoyed her referring to me as mother. She continued to fiddle with the flower crown. I smiled lightly and laughed at Aurora. Suddenly a wave of nausea rolled over me and I clutched at my stomach. "Aurora, I must leave." I breathed. "But mother! At least allow me to finish your crown!" She protested. "No, Aurora, please! I must go!" I said, raising my voice and pulling away. "Why?" Aurora asked, shouting and grabbing at my arm. "No! Just please! Please!" I shouted, nearly in tears. I pulled away forcefully and began to run. I ran to a crevice in the mountain and fell to my knees, breathing heavily. My throat burned as I vomited on the ground. I coughed and sat on a rock. Diaval and some of the pixies flew over. I flicked my wrist and he turned back into human form. "My love! Are you alright?" He asked, with a worried look in his eyes. "Yes, Diaval. I quite alright. I am just not feeling my best today." I answered. One of the pixies put a leaf in a bowl. "What are you doing?" I asked, annoyed. Another pixie brought a pouch of something and opened it. She poured the gold powder over the leaf. Ihfohn. Ihfohn was a magical powder found in the caves of the Moor, used for gunpowder, power, light, fire, medicine, and detecting pregnancy. "Wait, you don't think that..." I said, taking a deep breath. It was very possible... "Yes, I do think." The pixie replied. "Now spit in the bowl." She instructed. "What?" I asked, fairly alarmed. "Spit in the bowl!" She said again. "Why?" I questioned. "My love, I cannot put this in better words: Spit. In. The. Bowl." Diaval stated. "Fine, fine!" I agreed. "If it turns into a ray of light, then you are with child." The pixie explained. I nodded and spit in the bowl. I contemplated what my ideal result was. I did want a family with Diaval, and he agreed. But what about the Moors? Could I continue to protect if I was with child? I asked a pixie, and she told me, "We do not actually have a choice." "Hmm?" I asked. She gestured to the ray of light erupting from the bowl. "My love, you are with child. Our child." Diaval smiled.
