Chapter 8

[Diaval's POV]
I woke up as Maleficent cradled Leah in her arms and carried her outside. I watched through the window as the hoisted her onto her back and wrapped a cloth around her. She walked to the rock where I first confessed my love for her. I smiled as I saw her carefully hold Leah and whisper to her. When Maleficent carried Leah back in, I pretended to be asleep, as she had told me to get some sleep after I had stayed up with Leah the previous night. I opened one eye ever so slightly and watched as she gracefully climbed back into bed. Everything she did was graceful and beautiful. I loved her so much. I lay motionless and listened to her rhythmic breaths.

Maleficent was my life, my love, and my other half. I never knew I could love someone so much. Whe I first met her, when she saved me from those hunters, I didn't think much of her. Now, I cannot live without her. How amazing it is to be in love and find your soul mate.
[Aurora's POV]
I was up late that night, making Maleficent and Diaval their one year anniversary gift. It was going to be absolutely marvelous! I had made a necklace for them. Maleficent's said "Wherever you go," and Diaval's said "I will go." It was made out of a braided wood chain and a leaf dipped in resin with the words. I was so excited for them to receive it, as they had forgotten about their anniversary themselves. Such silly grown ups, forgetting their own anniversaries!
