Chapter 23

Emily's POV

As soon as I get to the beach I decide to sit by Taylor.

"Hey gorgeous." Taylor said.

"Hey."

"Tell me what's wrong now or I will throw you in!"

"How'd you know?"

"Emily Dallas, I know you just as well as your brother does."

"Well the thing is I like Shawn. And I also like Matt. I need to choose, but I can't hurt the other." I said

"Do what makes you happy."

"Yeah. I guess your right." I said laying my head on his shoulder. I already have a brother but Taylor is just like another brother. Jack Gilinsky is too but I haven't talked to him lately.

"Want to go for a swim?" Shawn asks walking over to me.

"Uh sure."

He helps me up and we walk into the water. Then out of nowhere he pulls me under.

"SHAWN PETER RAUL MENDES!" I yell while laughing.

After swimming for a while we get out.

"That was fun." Shawn said.

"It really was." I say smiling.

We all walked into the beach house but I stayed out by the pool to think. I really need some alone time.

"Hey." Someone said.

"Can I not have peace and quiet for 30 minutes!?" I yell.

"Sorry." The person says.

I look up to see matt walking away.

"Matthew wait. I didn't know it was you. I'm sorry."

"It's okay." He says coming to sit by me.

"Listen Emily, I like you, I really do, but I want you to be happy, I don't want you to stress about something like this when it isn't worth it. Go for Shawn, he makes you happy." Matt says

"But what about you Matt?" I ask

"Hey, don't worry about me, I'll be just fine."

"Matthew Lee, you are amazing and I love you. I really do."

"and I love you. That's why I'm letting you go."

And with that he kissed me on the forehead and went inside.

It was getting dark out when I decided to go in.

"Hey where have you been?" Shawn asks.

"Outside. I'm goin to bed, night."

"Night beautiful." Shawn says.

"Night cutie." I say back

After what Matt says I just really want to be by myself to think. I really wanted to give him a chance. Tomorrow I'm gonna go shopping, get my nails done, and my hair done so I can have a day to myself.

Shawn's POV

I can't get emily out of my head. She's so perfect. Honestly still regretting breaking up with her.
