I think it's just that when I'm trying an unfamiliar thing, I like using an unfamiliar character as well so I have to pay attention to what I'm doing instead of slipping into routine
Anyway this was some pose/anatomy practice that also turned into a shading experiment, featuring KirbyYoukai1514's OC

I sort of 'painted' the shading on this instead of airbrushing or/and cell shading. I think it looks pretty nice, but it also took twice as long
