You don't understand why I'm alone,
Why I'm quiet,
Why I never get close,
But even if I told you would you understand?
You don't understand that I'm grey.
Your blue, such a beautiful blue,
And I'm not red or green or purple,
I'm just grey.
That should make me disappear,
Unnoticeable, but somehow
It makes me stand out all the more.
Because I am not bright and colorful like I am supposed to be.
I am dull and seem to darken any color near me.
I don't want to steal from your ocean blue. To make it dark and dull.
And yet you don't understand why I keep my distance.
I keep my distance because I am dirtydirtydirtydirty and you are beautiful and I do not want to change you with my darkness.
So I will stay away, for your sake.
Even if you do not understand.
