"where's the dog?" jaelin said as soon as guanlin opened the door. guanlin sighed and pointed to the living room and jaelin skipped happily there.

"doggo!" she screamed like a child and ran to the dog who happily wagged his tail. guanlin watch her play with the dog as he sat on the arm of the couch.

"what's his name?" jaelin asked. "haru." he replied as she still pet the dog. "interesting name for a dog." she chuckled.

he rolled his eyes and smiled.

"guanlin, I'm going to go t- oh who's this?" guanlin's sister suddenly came into the living room. jaelin stood up shyly.

"this is my..." guanlin thought for a moment. what is she, my friend? would she be hurt if i said she's my friend?

"I'm his girlfriend, ahn jaelin." jaelin said with an awkward smile. guanlin blushed and looked at his sister who was smiling widely.

"awh my baby brother has a girlfriend?" she cooed and squeezed the boy tightly. "ew get off." guanlin said. jaelin laughed at how embarrassed he was.

"you better not hurt her." his sister said sternly, pointing a finger at the boy. he rolled his eyes. "why? you think i would?" he said as if he were offended.

she glared at him and rolled her eyes. "no, i just know how stupid you can be at times." she said. jaelin watched the two bicker back and forth. it was actually quite amusing.

"anyways, as i was saying. I'm going to the store to pick up some groceries, do you want anything specific?" she asked.

guanlin shook his head before turning to jaelin. "do you want anything?" he said. "huh? no I'm fine." she assured. guanlin shook his head and turned to his sister.

"cookies and cola." he said earning a nod. his sister left shortly after and jaelin sat on the couch. "sorry if i caused you any embarrassment." she said.

he sat next to her and shook his head. "i mean, you're going to be my girlfriend soon anyways." he replied. "ooh you're confident." she teased.

he turned his body to face her. "i am, because i know you can't resist me." he said with a wink. jaelin laughed and pushed his face away with her hand.

"you're a crackhead." she said causing him to pout. "was it not cute??" he whined. she looked at him and rolled her eyes.

"it was cringey." she replied. "but I can't say i didn't like it." she continued. he smiled like a little kid after hearing that.

she chuckled at the boy. "and I'm the one who acts like a 4 year old?" she teased. "you came to my house just to pet a dog and screamed like a child when you saw him." he shot back.

"why else would i come to your house then?" she wiggled her brows jokingly and he let out a sigh. "you're so dirty minded." he said causing her to laugh.
