Jason POV
"I have to! He's my son!" I yell. I told my father we found Nikki and I have a son but he won't let us leave. "What would you do if I went missing?" He growls and turns to me.
"How do you know its your son?! Didn't you say there was another male there?" he says. I sigh and nod. "Than why do you want to look for her?!"
"Because I love her! She's my mate! I bare her mark but you don't seem to honor our traditions!" I yell. He gives me a glare but frowns.
"I do but when I was your age.......my mate rejected me." he says. My jaw drops at the fact that my father, the Alpha boy was rejected. "Her name was Alex. We met at a pack meeting and I wanted her right away. She was a Beta but I didn't care. Neither did my father. When we turned 16 she got pregnant with your sister Maxi but she said it was all too much. She rejected me and left. I've never seen her again and since then I have a personal hate for Betas, even though my best friend is one." he says. I look down and sigh. "I guess my wolf didn't want to accept the fact that my sons fell in love with a Beta and I tried to destroy it. I'm truly sorry for what I did." he says. I rush over to him and into his arms.
"Its okay dad. I'm sorry I yelled at you and said you weren't my father but you gotta let me find her. I have to take responsibility for my son." he nods and lets go.
"Than take Eric and Theo. Stay safe." he says. I smile and run out and to the Blood Star Mansion. I open the door and see Eric, Theo, Rachel and Amber sitting in the living room.
"Eric, Theo we're going on a small hunt!" I say fast. They give me a confused look and stand up. "Rachel, you and Amber stay here. We won't be long, I promise." she nods and we leave.
"Okay, what are we really doing?" Eric asks. I stop an take a deep breath.
"We're gonna look for Nicole." he smiles and we shift, running to the spot where we saw her. We arrive and I inhale the scent. "I got it, lets go." we run for a good hour before stopping at a large mansion.
"Whoa....what is this place?" Theo asks. I nod just as the little pup comes running around the corner and Nicole chasing him. Than Inez and the male.
"We're gonna get you little boy!" she says smiling. He turns and lets out a little wolf howl. Its so cute! Nikki, Inez and the Male do the same just as the pup see's me and runs up.
"Hi." he says. I smile and kneel down. "You got big ears." I chuckle and make my ears wiggle. He has little, tiny ears. About the size of my thumb. He climbs onto my head and nips at them. Than Nicole walks over to me.
"What are you doing little boy? Playing with the big wolfy's ears?" she asks. He rolls of my head and laughs. "Jason, follow me. Ryan go play with Aunt Inny." he nods and starts to chase Inez. I stand up and follow her into the mansion. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm looking for you. Why are you so mad at me?" I ask.
"Because you left me to die!" she yells. I jump and pull my ears back. "You think you can come back and a 'sorry' will cut it?!"
"I never left you! My father said you and Inez ran ahead! I cried my eyes out for you! I love you more than anything and I still do!" I yell. "I didn't know for a year that I had a son! I came back to.....to......I came back tell you I need you." I say looking down.
"Jason, if this will work out again than you have to tell me: did you sleep with another female while I was gone?" she says. I nod and sit.
"I did, the Blood Star Alpha girl. My father made me and said if I rejected her than thousands would die. I didn't want that." I say. She sighs and sits as well. "What about you?"
"Yes, Luke the Alpha of this pack. I'm sorry." she says. We sit like that until Eric walks in.
"So did I. The Alpha girl has a sister. I slept with her." he says. Nikki closes her eyes and looks away.
"You can stay here and spend time with Ryan but I need time. Okay?" she says. We nod and she walks upstairs. I look at Eric who's looking down and shame. We cheated on our mate but she did the same. I guess we all just need time.
