Chapter 5 Pups?

Inez POV

Nikki's way to happy that Jason's okay. I mean like stuck to him. He loves it though, having so much attention from his mate but I can tell its taking its toll on Eric. He's getting depressed and becoming very distant. I wanna talk to him but somebody gets in my way.

"Hey beautiful." Theo says wrapping his arms around my waist. "What ya thinking about?"

"About my baby sister." I say leaning into his chest. "She's not paying any attention to Eric and its making him feel bad. He's such a nice boy and just wants to spend time with her." he sighs and rests his head ontop of mine.

"Well, talk to her. But just be careful, she so crooked. you could give her nails, she'd spit out corkscrews." he says. I gasp and hit him in the chest. "What?"

"Don't talk about my little sis like that! Your not that perfect." I say knowing that he mostly is. He chuckles and lets me go. 

"Okay, but later we're going to the river, don't forget and don't be late." I nod as he kisses my cheek and leaves. I turn and walk towards Nikki's fire. She looks up and smiles when she see's me.

"Hi Inez, what can I do for ya?" she asks. This really isn't my little sister. I sit down and sigh.

"Umm...I wanted to talk to you about Jason." I say. She frowns and leans forward to listen. "I'm glad that he's okay and that your happy he didn't die but you still have two mates, not just Jason. Eric is getting really depressed with you ignoring him and I think it would be best for you to spend some time with him." I say. 

"Oh, I guess your right. I haven't been spending any time with him lately." she says. "I'll go see him tonight than. When Jason's asleep." I nod and am just about to leave when something comes to my mind. 

"Hey, I just wanted to ask you something. When you come of age and want pups, from who will that be?" I ask. She looks down, as if she wish I hadn't asked.

"I don't know, I really don't want pups from two different fathers but I do know both want pups of they're own." she says. 

"I know it'll be hard, and your right. Males always want pups to protect and raise. I really wish I could help you but I have no idea how." I say. She nods just as Jason walks up. "Well, I gotta go meet Theo at the river so I'll be on my way. Any remember what we just talked about little sis." she nods and I leave for the river. Its not very far but the weather is getting worse around here. 2 feet deep snow, icey winds. I want to say it couldn't worse but I bet my ass it can and will. Than arms wrap around my waist picking me up. Just as I want to scream a hand covers my mouth. I look and see Theo smiling.

"I told you not to be late." he says. "I think I might have to punish you." I shake my head as he sets me down.

"No, no you don't." I say backing up. He walks forward and grabs my hand. "Theo, please. Not today." I say. He pulls me forward and into his arms.

"So I'm guessing you wanted to fall into the ice cold water than." he says. I look and se I was right at the edge of the river. 

"No, thanks. Can I ask you something?" I ask as we sit down on a tree stump.

"Sure, anything." he says. I try to say this without it coming out the wrong way.

"Do you think we should have pups?" I ask. His eyes grow and I know I've said it wrong.

"Of course I do, why?" he asks. 

"I was talking to Nikki about it and I just thought we should start talking about it. We are coming of the right age." I say.

"Well, do you wanna try?" he asks. Only being 16 and the proper age for pups I have to say that the war is a big problem.

"I do but not now, not until the wars over." I say and he frowns.

"Inez, this war could go on for years, if we don't hurry it might be too late and I don't wanna wait until I'm in my 20s." he says. I sigh and think for a moment.

"Okay, we'll try." I say. He smiles and pulls me in for a ling kiss. Maybe it could work out and this war doesn't just have disadvantages.
