Chapter 15: Shoot To Thrill

Thomas POV 

It was 2 days since we'd seen Newt. A lot and I mean a lot has happened since then. A cure had been found and was administered to the infected, a blood test taken to make sure they were infected before being given. Me, Frypan, Brenda, Gally, Jorge, Lucy and Franky had been sat patiently waiting for Newt, Sam and Sally to come home but as of yet they haven't. We decided to wait for the crowd to die down a little before we took Brenda to get cured since for all we know WCKD could still want me, Fry and Gally. 

"What if they don't come back?" Asked Franky with sadness and desperation in her voice. She was sat between her mother and Gally on the floor in Newts 'home'. I say it like that because it's filled with a lot of cranks espeacially on the bottom floor. It's a half destroyed car park block with cranks on the bottom floor and then spread around the other 2 floors for 'protection' purposes or so I'm told. 

"They will, Newt always come back eventually" Said Lucy with so much hope in other voice that I almost believed her, almost being the key word. Newt since we'd left the maze and he became this thing that WCKD made him he had a tendency to leave. He left us for 6 months without a word whilst we risked or lives to find him and Minho to bring them home. Maybe I was being pessimistic since in my short memory I didn't have much reason to be optimistic but that didn't change my mind that Newt most likely wasn't coming back. 

"Hello?" I heard a familiar voice call out . "Anyone home? Great an abandoned house with a fuck tonne of dead cranks" yeah so Jorge didn't like the noise from the cranks and killed them all. "Looks like I have free reign" I heard the voice mutter to itself. Before me and everyone else could stop her Franky grabbed a shot gun and moved quickly yet quietly to where she heard the masculine voice coming from. Hearing a scream (girly although I'm sure he'd deny it even on his death bed) before a gunshot was heard. At this we all ran towards the chaos. 

"Woah woah Franky calm calm he's a friend!!" Shout Gally blocking Lucy's sight from Minho as she prepares to shoot at the Asian teen again. Seeing Gally made her lower her gun although a stoney expression was still on her face. "This is Minho he was with me and your Uncle Newt in the maze" he said and she completely relaxed. Apparently she'd been told about the maze by either Gally or Newt and recognised Minhos name. 

"Urmm Thomas what the shuck is going on?!!" Shouted Minho after a few moments silence, he was hysterical. "I get shot at by a kid and then Gally who I'm pretty sure I killed comes and stops her from murdering me!!" He shouted and I could see confusion laced with annoyance in his eyes. Minho could have a great poker Face if it wasn't for his eyes, they held all his emotions that he otherwise didn't let show. 

"This is Franky and she's a friend. Newts in the city and he was gonna help us get in to get you out, wait a sec how did you get out?" I asked Minho. He was suppose to be captive in WCKD's headquarters not running free outside the city walls. 

"Well they did some fucked up clunk to me like I mean messed up. And then when they take me to this interegation room Teresa walks in of all people and says they have a cure then unlocks my handcuffs gives me a gun and lets me go" he said and just as I was about to say something in reply to his tale he spoke again. "Dude she said they had Newt" He said with a sorrow tone. I looked down sadly, looks like a rescue mission will happen after all. "Well get him back Thomas" he said clapping my shoulder but I heard a snort coming from the doorway of the makeshift room we were in. 

"I don't need bugging rescuing I'm right here ya bloody shank"
