I grew up in a family where most of them went insane. My grandfather went insane, my grandmother went insane, my father went insane even my only uncle. Mother is working and I'm working and go to college. Im studying to be a psychologist. Ironic, right? Even after going through school and helping my mother out to make sure she has everything she needs, people see me as a lunatic. I mean who could blame them they are just a afraid. I never felt normal or accepted. I never did want to feel accepted, I just want to be loved. Ha, I sound pathetic.

It has always been this or that.

"Her family is all crazy and she might be crazy like them." Or "Don't get close to her she might hurt you."

I never really did mind, not until I moved. The only reason I moved was because I had found out that my great grandfather owned a mansion in the outskirts of town. I moved with my mother there. She wants me to stay with her. She gets easily frightened and feels safe around me. So I stay by her side to protect her. Now that we moved into the mansion, we had to clean and fix some stuff.

I found out of the mansion because of my uncle, before he went insane. He gave me an antique key. I thought it was for my antique collection. But one day when I went to go visit him in the asylum, he was given a book and crayons. I thought it was to entertain him, but he started to call me over and point at the drawings he made.

He had drawn a beautiful mansion with two men standing by it. The man was tall handsome, beautiful brown hair and eyes. The other man also tall but more built than the other, but had the same color hair and eyes as the other. All he said was four simple words,

"Home, key, happy, Them!"

He smiled up at me and his eye twitched when he saw me smile at him. He started to scream and held his head in pain. The nurses ran inside and take me out of the room. As they took me out you could hear his screams.

"Don't take her from me!" He yelled as he tried to run after me.

I push off the nurses and look at him. He smiles one last time and points at the wall behind him.

'The things about insanity is that we are somewhat happier when we are all mad.'

Was written on the wall. He pointed at his head with a huge grin on his face.

"Don't forget, Y/n!!" He laughed madly.

He faints and I run over to catch him. I yell at the nurses to help him and they just back away and start to scream.

"He's here again!" One of them yelled.
"Who is here?!" I yelled back.

They all point at wall behind me. I look back and see a shadow of a man. I lay my uncle down and walk over to the shadow.

"Don't get any closer he will hurt you!" The nurses yell.

As I walk closer he extends his hand. I look down at it and back up at the shadow. Something about him made me feel safe. I place my hand on his and he slowly brings it up to his shadowed face. His head leans down on my hand and places a small kiss on my hand. As he kissed my hand, he looked up at me and he no longer had a shadowed face, if not a face. A very handsome face. I look at him shocked and he chuckles lightly. He leans over at my ear and whispers.

"So beautiful.."

He pecks my cheek and looks over at the nurses. They scream and run off. He wasn't real, right?
