"Look! This website has a whole bunch of jobs to offer. There is one of a babysitter gig and it looks like they'll pay well. You should take it!" My friend said as she scroll away on my computer.
I only nod and she smiles. She types away and suddenly the typing stops. Looking over my shoulder, I see her stop and turn to look at me.
"It's in Korea. You should take it, like now. I'm going to message them."
"Mai, we live on the other side of the world. Korea is far!"
"You need to get away from here, Elle. Jungkook has been acting up and he won't stop until he has you all to himself. It'll be great if you run off to Korea, I'll move out with you. I would have to give it some time though so Jungkook won't catch on. Do it, Elle. What is there to lose?"Glancing down at my hands, I sigh and nod. She's right. Maybe a change would be good for me, besides Jungkook is getting out of control. He became super possessive and won't let me be. I've done everything for him to just leave me alone. Every time I'm with him, it gets harder to breath and I can't seem to control myself. It's like he casts a spell over me and I have to follow his every word.
Mai prepared my interview with the family and I would be meeting them in a couple of days. She helped me pack my things. We had my things ready that same night. She even offered to buy me the ticket to Korea.
"I'll miss you but it's for the best. I'll be meeting up with you soon anyway! You'll be babysitting a little six year old boy, his name is Jihoon. By the looks of it they are a wealthy family looking for a nanny for their son. They have older children but they don't live with them. So it will be just you and the little boy."
I nod and she looks into my eyes before pulling me into a tight hug. I hug her back tightly and sigh.
"Mai, please keep yourself safe. Whatever you do, don't let Jungkook find out anything."
"Why would I let that bastard know where you are? I love you, Elle. You're like a sister to me."The next morning she had drove me to the airport for my flight. Mai had convinced me that the sooner I left the better. Jungkook was still up in San Francisco which gave me an advantage on leaving without him noticing. The drive to the airport was quite nice actually. We spoke about all the memories we have had together and how much we've grown. Mai parked the car and helped me take my bags out of the car. She held my hand as she walks to the gate where I was supposed to be taking off soon. She halts and tunes to face me.
"Elle, this is where I say byebye girly. I love you and take care. I'll miss you a lot!" She throws her arms around me.
Hugging her, I give her a tight squeeze before letting go. She tears up and I wipe her tears.
"Don't cry, Mai. You're going to make me cry." I laugh trying not to cry myself.
"Imma miss you. You fucking bitch, telling me not to cry and you laugh about it." She laughs as she wipes her tears. They call my gate number on the intercom and Mai pushes me over to the entrance of the gate. She waved goodbye and I walk in, looking over my shoulder, she still stood there as I walked in. Finally making it inside the plane, I sigh and take my seat. I was off to Korea for a fresh new start.
The flight to Korea was successful and quite nice, although I did pretty much sleep the entire flight. The family would be sending someone to pick me up from the airport, so I decided to wait by the pickup zone. Looking around for someone with my name on a sign. I see a young man with a sign, it read my name but the sign was upside down. He spots me and smiles. He walks over to me and grins.
