"She's been so quiet since she got here, it's almost rather dull." Gustav said as he and Arsyn watched Lupa pick at her plate of mutton.

"Well she did say she lost her wolf pack to that group of hunters who were trying to take her down earlier, maybe that's why she's upset." The dark haired teen suggested and brushed her bangs out of her face. "Honestly, I'd be pretty bummed out if someone killed Blackjack."

"Same here, but with Fanghook." Gustav agreed and drummed his fingers on the table. "What should we do?"

"This." Arsyn got up from her seat, grabbed her bowl of soup, walked over to the moody teen and dropped her plate in front of her. Lupa raised her head slightly and raised an eyebrow when she saw Arsyn sit across from her. Gustav did the same, taking a seat next to the teen.

"What do you want?" Lupa asked, going back to pick at her food again.

"Nothing, just figured you were lonely." Arsyn replied cooly and brushed a strand of her bangs from her eyes. "I'm Arsyn, Arsyn Hofferson."

"And I'm Gustav!" Gustav added helpfully.

"And I'm not hungry." Lupa responded, grabbing her plate and moving from the bench.

"Geez, she's way colder than Bewilderbest ice." Gustav muttered and rubbed his arm.

"Give her time, she's adjusting." Arsyn said and watched Lupa as she sat herself next to her brother.

"Astrid and Snotlout said you gave them the cold shoulder earlier, mind telling me why?" Eret asked as Lupa was helping him place some clean straw for Fern's bed.

"I just don't like talking to people, I grew up not having too much human contact." Lupa responded and blew a strand of her fiery hair from her face. "Pretty much a 'lone wolf', you know?"

"Well I think you should at least given Gustav and Arsyn a chance, they tried giving you company but you pushed them away." Eret pointed out and motioned for Fern, who was sitting on top of Skullcrusher like some kind of large bronze bird, to come to her new sleeping space.

"Do I have to?"

"Yes."

Lupa pouted and folded her arms over her chest. "I prefer your company to the company of strangers."

"You'll get there, besides, you can't always rely on my company. One of these days I'm going to have a wife and split my attention between you, her, and Skullcrusher."

"Don't ever marry, she'll probably never be faithful to you." Lupa muttered. Eret frowned and gave his sister's ear a sharp tug, earning a high pitched yelp. "WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"Bed, now." Eret retorted sharply.

"You're not my father!" Lupa snaps, but she stormed out of the stable.

"I'm still your brother and your legal guardian!" Eret yelled back. He heard the sound of the door of the house slam shut and released a shaky sigh. "Dear Odin help me, I don't know what to do with her. I'm trying so hard right now, but she lost her pack and is taking her anger and foul mood on everyone. At least give me the strength to be patient with her, I'm really out of touch with being an older brother to a rebellious child."
