It's been three weeks since the accident and Mileena still hadn't woken up. The police were on the case as they suspect that someone is behind it. The first suspect: Shao Kahn and his wife Sindel, who were known to work with certain individuals.

"How dare you come here assuming this!! Why would I hurt my child??!" Sindel yelled at the chief.

"We're only narrowing down suspects. Given your husband and your record isn't so 'clean' either." Raiden said calmly.

She continued to argue with him as he tried to calm her down. Bi-Han and Kuai were looking around the office just for a clue. Luckily they had a search warrant so they could look if they wanted to. Out of the corner of his eye, Bi-Han saw a notepad with a number. He quickly copied it down as to see what the number could be.

"You aren't allowed to be looking in MY OFFICE"

Kuai and Bi-Han quickly turned around and looked up. Shao Khan was staring down at the two men very angrily.

"We have a warrant-" Bi-Han was interrupted

"Get out!!"

"But-"

"Out!!! Now!!!"

Raiden looked at Sindel. "Thank you for your time" He caught up with the two brothers before the elevator door closed.

"I found a number on a note pad. It might lead to something." Bi-Han said to Raiden.

"Call it on a private number and we can track it"

The elevator stopped on the first floor and all three got off. Bi-Han and Raiden left the building while Kuai waited outside for Hanzo.

~at the dance studio~

Hanzo ran out quickly, putting his shoes on and his coat. Shit shit shit! I'm late! He thought as he was running out of the building with his bag. He slipped a bit here and there trying to get to Khan Industries where he would meet Kuai.

Once he crossed the street and saw the agent, he couldn't help but smile like an idiot. "Kuai!"

The agent turned around and smiled. Hanzo ran towards him and slipped on the snow, falling right on top of him. Hanzo blushed lightly as Kuai poked his nose.

"Hey beautiful." Kuai smirked seeing his boyfriend blush a darker shade.

"H-hi" he mumbled as he got up and helped Kuai. "Sorry about that. I-"

"Your hair looks better like this." Kuai interrupted.

Hanzo looked a bit confused. It was always in a ponytail or a bun. Why compliment him now on his hair? Unless... fuck! Kuai tucked Hanzo's hair behind his ear.

"You think so?"

"Of course" Kuai continued, holding his hand out. "Shall we go or not?"

Hanzo held his hand. "Well duh."

Kuai chuckled and they left the front of the building, hand in hand.

~at the hospital~

Kitana and Tanya stayed at the hospital by Mileena's side. Kitana missed about three auditions just to be with her sister.

"Kitana."

"Yes?"

"Why did you stay?"

"What?"

"Why did you stay? I thought you and Mileena were not on good terms"

"Well... the argument was all my fault. I dragged her into something that wasn't necessary. The man we used to call 'father' was going to leave everything to her and I but I said I deserved it all. And I told him her secret she told me to keep and now she'll be left with nothing. Today I'll tell him to leave my name out of it.

"I did far worse things than that to prove that I deserved it all and... and now... I feel so guilty. Everything I did to her... " Kitana sighed.

Tanya opened her mouth, about to say something when she heard a rustling of the bed sheets. Her and Kitana turned seeing Mileena open her eyes.

"Oh my god! Mileena!" Tanya cried, hugging her girlfriend. Kitana went to the other side of the bed to hug her sister.

"W-what happened? Why are you both crying?" Mileena responded. "I'm fine- ugh."

She covered her nose, giggling. "You both need a shower."

Tanya and Kitana laughed with her.

"I'll get the nurse" Tanya kissed her forehead and headed out the room. It was silent for a minute or so till Kitana spoke up.

"Mileena, I'm so sorry. Everything I've done to you-"

"Stop. It's ok. I know you didn't mean to. It's just that he loves to put us against one another"

Kitana began to tear up. "I'm sorry" she cried.

Mileena hugged her sister and kissed her cheek. Kitana hugged her tightly, crying on her shoulder soaking it.
