Mileena was finally home with her girlfriend Tanya. She was still a bit weak and tired from all that happened that week. Tanya left her with her sisters and brother by her side. She felt that Mileena needed to see her family. The ones who actually care for her that is.

"Hey sis. How are you doing?" Skarlet asked.

"I'm ok... how's work at the department?"

"I'm good at pissing off the head of the forensic department. And he said hi"

"Oh. That's nice"

Kitana placed Mileena's food tray in front of her with a smile. She wasn't the best at cooking but of course her sister would appreciate the effort. Mileena began to cut into her food.

"How's Kenshi doing?" Skarlet asked.

"He's ok so far... after the news" Ermac replied with emptiness.

"I'm so sorry... for asking. And for him. And his little son"

Kitana gave a little ahem which got the others attentions. "I wanted to apologize to you two for what I did to you through the years-"

"We know you had a change of heart Ana." Skarlet smiled happily while saying that.

"And you still remember that nickname" Kitana face palmed at the memories of that name.

They chuckled at the memory of them all calling her Ana.

"What about the time when we all wrote on-" Mileena was quickly interrupted by the door busting open. There stood their father Shao Kahn.

Skarlet just sat still staring at him with intense fear in her eyes. Ermac began to start shaking with anxiety as did Mileena. Kitana quickly glanced at all of them and stood up.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She looked him dead in the eye filled with anger.

"I came here to see my children is all."

"Bullshit"

"How are you feeling Leena dear?" He bent down to hug her. Mileena began to silently cry as she felt him squeeze her tight.

"That's enough!" Kitana spoke up. "None of us want you here."

"Since when did you not want me around my lovely daughter?" He let go of Mileena who was already in a mess of tears.

"Ever since I thought about what I have done to all of my siblings. You told me to bring them down. You made me hurt them emotionally."

"Watch what you speak of!"

"So it is true?" Skarlet said.

"Part of it." He replied.

"Why do you hate us so much?" Ermac asked afraid of the answer.

"I don't hate you. I merely know what child will succeed. And I was wrong about that" he shot Kitana a look that made her step back.

"All you do is feed us lie after lie! You never spent much time with any of us and you know who will be better than just loving all your children? Not to mention the fact that Mileena was almost killed just because of what? You don't like her girlfriend? The police are on your ass already as we speak-" Skarlet was stopped by her own father's hand around her throat. He began to squeeze a bit more as he picked her slowly.

She struggled on her tiptoes to keep herself up. She gasped for air as Kitana and Ermac tried to make him let go of her. Mileena grabbed the knife she had  on her food tray and threw it. Shao Kahn instantly let go. He looked at his arm and pulled out the knife.

Ermac aided Skarlet as she began coughing and trying to breathe as normally as possible. Kitana quickly snatched the knife from the man she once called her father.

"Leave. Now."

Shao Kahn looked at all his children. "I'll rid of all of you someday..."

He walked out the door of Mileena and Tanya's room. Kitana peeked from the door until she heard the door to the house finally close.

Kitana hugged Mileena lightly. She began to shake with fear over what happened. Skarlet and Ermac joined in on the hug.

"...nice throw by the way." Ermac softly spoke.

Mileena chuckled softly. "Thanks."
