The Dark sickness

Chapter 2
I was sitting by the dining table going through some emails, I still run a business even though I am so far, I had to assign a new manager because I couldn’t leave the house. I have people delivering my groceries at the gate I let no one in or out. I hit the skype button after I did my work “Aunty Lizzy!” I smiled at her she has grown into a beautiful little girl, I am so proud of her. “My lollypop how have you been?” she looks at me, its been a year since I spoke to her. “Well I have been going with mommy to work now that you have moved away, I have a message for you the memory man tells me each night about you I miss you Aunty Lizzy.” I wish he could leave her alone she’s just a child, I’ve been living here for five years now and since then all my dogs died the minute I got them my plants and grass never grows, he’s killing everything around me, I know he is watching me, but my lights work with electricity and I have solar panels as well, he tried tripping my lights many times but as soon as the lights go off the solar panels energy turns them on.
“And what is this message my Lollypop?” she smiles at me and moved closer to the screen. “He said he out lived the devil himself, he said sooner or later Aunty needs to leave the house.” I saw her face turned paler and paler until she grabbed her throat and couldn’t breathe.”  “Lollypop! Lollypop!!” the screen went black. I stood up and took my laptop in my hands and threw it against the wall. I opened the back door “You took her life! She’s just a little girl please.” I shouted with tears running down my face. I couldn’t see him but I knew he was out there, I could feel him near me.
A soft wind picked up, I was sitting outside when I saw my back lights went off one for one. “You can’t come any closer to the lights memory man that’s the only place you can stand, I don’t want the lights to kill you.” I said with sarcasm dripping off of each word, I saw a dark shadow coming closer and closer stopping where the light is shining. “You are making things worse for yourself, five years is nothing to me Elizabeth but for you time is a thing you need to be grateful for, you humans are like a sickness to this world.” I don’t move my eyes away from him, I don’t trust him. “Why me? I am still young and here I am trying to keep the lights on so that you can’t get to me.” he tried coming closer but the light burned his naked pale dirty feet. “Your dear mother begged to live, she begged for the God’s to help her but no one came to her. I was busy taking the souls of the ungrateful humans when I heard her, she looked at me and begged I told her there is a price she must pay. Your mother said that the child she’s carrying was kissed by the God’s I didn’t believe her at first but then I felt the power coming from with in her, you where killing your own mother.” I laughed at him “You want me to believe that? I lost my mother in a car accident and I never knew my father because he left my mother pregnant and all alone.” His eyes was looking into my mind trying to pray on my memories and fear. “believe what you want Elizabeth but soon you will find out who you really are.” In a split second he was gone, he tried playing games with me I knew it, I am not that stupid to believe him I don’t even know what he is.”
I went to bed with a headache I closed my eyes and went into darkness.
“I can smell your blood flowing in your in your veins Elizabeth I want to taste it.” He took his long nails and touched my body, my skin burned underneath his touch I was about to scream but his lips was on mine, it tasted like death rotten skin. I found it amazing I couldn’t understand why. “I want you to carry my children, I want you to rule the world with me.” his hand stopped by my lower stomach, he lifted my shirt and started to push his nails into my skin I could feel all the pain I could feel wetness and the strong smell of blood. “Stop please stop I beg you.” he kissed my neck and moved to my breasts and bit me a few times, I felt his hand pulled out of my body and started to breath heavy. “You wont die, its only shock because my venom is fighting against your blood cells to take over your body, you will heal my sweet Elizabeth” I looked at him while he was sucking my blood of his longs fingers.
I woke up shouting. I could feel everything it was so real, I felt dirty. I made my way to the bathroom taking off my clothes and got into the shower. I don’t like bad dreams this is the first once since my mother’s death.

I washed my body it was hurting everywhere I looked down to my breasts and saw blue purple marks “It can’t be the lights was on.” I took my hands and slowly moved them to my lower stomach I could feel five little bumps where his nails went into my skin. “NO!” I got out of the shower and looked into the mirror, my hare is longer than it should be my left eye is starting to turn yellow like the memory man’s eyes. “It was a dream it isn’t real he’s playing a game with me.” I looked down and saw the marks on my stomach it looked horrible like I have been shot five times.

I got dressed and made my way to the kitchen I heard the sound of birds flying into the window I looked out side and saw hundreds of crows sitting in the big oak tree, some of them flew against the window and fall to the ground. “I won’t let you do this to me memory man.” I closed my curtain and started getting ingredients out of the cupboard to make beef stew.

Later that day I switched all the lights on in the house and made my way to the living room to watch some television, I changed the channel to news and what I saw broke my heart into millions of pieces.

“ten-year-old Lollypop Mayson was found dead in her room; her brain was removed from her skull in such a way that her eyes were pulled out with. The killer is still out there, Mrs. Mayson said she was still busy playing in her room and next thing she knew the power went off. Police are still looking for the suspect.” Tears was running like rivers down my face, she was everything to me why would he do that to her, why would he kill her like that?

I was caught off guard when I a stone came flying through my window, I stood up and saw there was writing on it. “One by one everyone you cared about will die.” I grew angry I made my way to the back door and opened it to my surprise he stood in the dark where the lights were off. “I had to get your attention somehow.” I walked closer to him where the lights were still shining. “You killed a small girl and ripped her brain out why!” he looked at me while he gave me an evil smile showing his rotten teeth. “it was her time, she was the one keeping me close to you but now that I have her brain I can enter her memories of you and do anything to your body, without being there physically.” I wanted to smack his smile of his face, I hated him he’s the reason for everyone’s death that I love and care for. “What are you?” he came closer but the light was to bright for his skin and moved back.
