Chapter 6

Ever since Camilla was born she never left my side, the memory man said its because the warrior inside of her feels the need to protect the one she loves. Its been a year since she was born in that year we created an army of warriors and souls, we have been attached a few times, they never get closer than the thick forest, Camilla would make sure that no one comes closer to her family. “Mother I don’t feel well, I need to feed its been days since I last ate.” She would sit in a corner fighting with her inner demon, she refuses to eat. “Come let’s go.” We made our way to the dungeons of demon’s. “I want the old demon; his fear is worse than all the other ones.” I opened the door for her and she made her way inside, in the beginning I would close my eyes when she fed but I am use to it now, she makes her way to the demon moving her fingers slowly in the air, you could hear all his bones breaking. She picked him up and ripped his head of his body and ate his brains and eyes, when she was done she would suck all his blood out of his body.  She looks back at me and smiled “I am done now mother.” I smiled at her and made our way back to the castle. Sometimes I wonder why did the lord gave me this life to live, but yet again is there a lord looking out for me? I was brought out of my day dreaming when Camilla fell to the ground shaking, black liquid came out of her mouth, in a split second the memory man was next to me. “What’s happening to her, she ate and when we came back she fell.” He picked her up and took her to a room I never saw before, “she has poison in her veins I don’t have a cure, the cure is my brothers blood.” He opened a glass freezer and sat her down slowly. “I need you to stop your heart my child, I am going to freeze you until I have the antidote.” For the first time I saw her crying she looked at me and smiled in all the pain she had, her heart stopped but her eyes were still open. “We have a traitor amongst our warriors.” He never looked at me anymore or talk to me Camilla was our first priority, she couldn’t be alone she has not yet unleased her inner demon, the memory man said when she does we need to be prepared because she will kill anything in her way. “Memory man, she will be fine.” I went closer to him and stroke his fur, he froze under my touch and relaxed when I kept touching him. “Its been long since I felt your touch, I missed it.” He turned around and looked at me with his yellow eyes I came to love. “I will find a cure for her even if I have to die to get it from him.” He looks deep into my soul, searching for a memory that would make me smile, he chose the one  Camilla was born. “I have been waiting to talk to you for a while now, I wanted to say thank you, this crazy world we live in, is so beautiful if you really look at it.” I touched his face and he started to kiss my hand. “Sorry to interrupt King and Queen but we are under attack.” We both got pulled back to reality and made our way to the gates. 
There he stood the Keeper of demon’s, surrounded by hundreds and thousands of demon’s. I look at the memory man, he looked at me and gave a loud demonic sound. All our warriors came to stand by our sides, the keeper of demons started running towards us. I saw the memory man running full speed to him they collided and the earth started to shake, I bent down to the ground and closed my eyes, I imagined heavy piles of rock coming from the ground I opened my eyes and took the pile of rocks and started crushing the demons, the warriors started cutting throats and ripping the demons  apart that’s when I saw the memory man underneath the keeper of demons he was about to rip his wings off when I used my last pile of rocks on him, making him fall to the ground. I started to run to the memory man I helped him up he was bleeding, he has not been feeding on soul’s since Camilla was fighting with her inner demon, I cut open my arms and gave it to him. He grabbed it and started sucking. “I am sorry Elizabeth, I should have fed.” I nodded my head and saw the Keeper of demons making his way to us with a smile on his face. “I finally get to meet the foul warrior, how nice of you to join us tell me how is my niece?” I felt anger coming out from inside me, my whole body was covered with flames. “tell me keeper of demons, can they move in the light?” is eyes went wide I took all the energy I could and turned the fire in a big round ball, it almost shined as bright as the sun I saw all the demons turn into ash. The keeper of demons touched his unborn children and let them lose. “You will die!” he shouts while the unborn children made their way to me, I killed a few but never saw the last one behind me, its started to eat my skin and got inside of my body I could feel it inside my lungs and went through my heart and ripped out my body. I looked down and saw the small unborn child dead on the ground. I had a hole in my back and chest. “Impossible you should have died.” I turned around and saw the memory man fighting one of our warriors ‘traitor’ I whispered to myself. “I am a daughter of a warrior I am the protector of my daughter I will kill you for what you have done to her.” I made my way to the keeper of the demons I jumper in the air and knocked him off his feet. I stood on top of him with my hands on his horns. “This is for my friends and family.” I slowly started to rip his horns from his skull, he gave a loud screaming sound, I then took the sharp horns and pushed then slowly into his eyes. I took one of his chains, wrapping it around his neck I pulled it tight until I heard a cracking sound, I pulled even harder, his body laid on the ground headless. I took his head and made my way to the room Camilla was in when I got there she was missing. I then thought to myself why did he make it so easy to kill him? I looked down to the head in my hands I smelled it and I smelled like fresh demon blood not older than a few weeks.

I started to panic, my child is gone. I felt my heart starting to pain I cant breath properly, the earth started to shake, the grounds was pulling out of each other. All of the sudden I felt soft wet fur around my waist, I smelled the death on him and I knew it was my memory man. “I moved her body while you were busy killing every demon you could find.” Tears was flowing down my face. “He made it to easy to kill him, he made me think I have won but he made a joke out of me, he knows now what we are capable of.” For the first time he just held me, we stood there most probably for hours. “Come we need to figure out what he is up to.”
Its been days since the battle, we were tired sleepless nights days since we even had a proper bath. Our child is our first priority and he is not going to let my baby die. “what if this is what he wants, he knows just as well as we do that when she wakes up, half of her mind will not be stable. Her inner demon might come out and I am afraid of it.” He looked at me with his yellow eyes trying to pray on my memories to see her battling her inner demon.

Flash back

“Camilla baby what are you doing in the corner?” I saw her scratching the walls, blood dripping from her nails. “She want’s me to kill every living soul mother.” She turned her head at me, she had purple eyes with black spots. Her teeth were sharp, with blood dripping out of her mouth from biting her lips. “Camilla baby you are hurting yourself.” Her skin on her back started to rip apart, her wings came out but it was torn like she was in battle. “Mother please step away, she said you are trying to make me something I’m not.” I walked closer and closer until I wrapped my arms around her. She froze not knowing what to do, I took my one hand and pushed her wings back. She started shouting and threw me against the other side of the room’s wall. “Please mommy.” I could see tears in her eyes, I nodded my head and stood still, she whispered something and turned into flames. My child was turning into a big pile of ash. I went closer I saw her naked body emerge from the ash I took a blanket and covered her. “I didn’t mean to hurt you mother, every time she wants me to give my body over to her. The only way to stop her is to set me on fire.” I held her tight and kissed her on her head. “Come let’s go get you something to eat.

End of flash back.

“I never knew it was so bad, she never talks to me or let me go near her like she does with you.” I looked at him and gave a small smile. “She love’s you, you just don’t see it.”
