Chapter 5

“Elizabeth we are here.” I saw black all around me, I could smell death and fear. “I can’t see anything. “It’s because you didn’t try opening your eyes.”
I opened my eyes and saw a big castle, the sky was dark but the moon was shining through the clouds, I could see everything, the grass that once was growing around the castle was dead, all the trees as well. “Why does nothing grow?” he looked at me “My mother was the keeper of nature, after her death everything died when I touched it, I am not what you think Elizabeth there is no good in me.” I started walking to the castle everywhere I looked I saw white eyes with pale skin, they looked lost. “These are my warriors, they are pure souls that was bound to serve me before I release them into the forbidden woods, to find what they call heaven.” As we got to the gate I saw a big wooden door in front of us being lowered to us, the beasts in the armor was big humans with blue eyes. “Why are their eyes blue?” he nods at them and kept walking. “They are the children of warriors the protectors of the castle. You would have been one of them if your mother chose to be with another warrior.” I looked around me the castle looked broken down and thorns everywhere, I felt sorry for the memory man he lost everything and now his brother wants to kill him and me as well.
“The moon is at his highest, it’s the time my beast comes out to receive the foul souls of humans, I don’t want you to leave your room because I have not claim your soul as mine, my beast will destroy you, he will rip you apart.” I didn’t understand so nicely but I nod my head and went to my room. I opened the door and saw a beautiful room the bed was bigger than a king size, it was black and red, the walls were made out of old stone and candles was lit everywhere, the fire place was making the room warm with its bright red orange yellow flames. I went to lay down, I never knew there was another realm, made for demons and keepers. I fell asleep and slept for the first time without a bad dream, that’s before I heard a sound that made me jump up.
It was a sound I never heard before, a calling for pain and misery, I made my way out of the room and followed the sound. I came across an old steel door, the room was rumbling with the sounds coming from the other side of the door. “Don’t go in Elizabeth” I whispered to myself, but my body had a mind of its own. I opened the door and what I saw make me want to run away. The memory man was chained to the wall, it was the most thickest chains I ever saw, he had blood coming from his neck and hands where the chains was, his nose started to move and in my direction his yellow eyes was turning black. He started growling , trying to get lose of the chains, I went closer to him “Don’t you are going to hurt yourself even worse.” He started laughing he kept his eyes on my movements. I was a meter away from him when I saw something move between his legs. It was long and black like his fur, it came for me I turned around to run but I felt something got a hold of my feet, I fell down and was lifted in the air. “You are the daughter of a warrior and a foul human your dreams and fears are the most powerful I have ever encountered.” I closed my eyes and tried to get lose, I smelled burning rotten meat when I opened my eyes I was covered with flames but it never burned me it was burning his tail around my body he lets go of me and I fell to the ground. “What did you do to me!” the next thing I new the room was fulling up with water. “please make it stop!” I was starting to cry freaking out, I saw his chains broke and he made his way to me he pushed his nails inside of my body and I went into darkness.
“Elizabeth, time to get ready for school.” I made my way down stairs seeing my mother making my favorite Blueberry waffle’s. “Mom we are having this school trip tomorrow and its about how the earth provides for us.” She turns around and smiled “You are interested in going?” I nodded my head and took a hand full of extra berries my mother always put on the table. “Okay then I will drop you there tomorrow, by the way Uncle Peter is going to be staying with us for a while, he has some business to take care of.” He was my father’s brother, he’s been my father figure ever since I could remember. “Mom look at the time we are going to be late” I jumped up and ran to the car, my mother came out and opened the door for me. she dropped me off at school and drove off. “Look guys it’s the girl with no father, poor you he probably looked at you and saw how ugly you were.” They did this every morning the bully of the school. “At least I have a mother who loves me!” she picked up a rock and threw me with it, it hit me on my left eye, I felt the blood coming out of the cut, anger grew inside of me and I looked at her with death in my eyes, I saw all the rocks starting to move around me breaking into small little pieces and went straight through her. Her body fell to the ground. The next thing I knew my mother grabbed me and run to the car. “Elizabeth what did you do!” I started to get angry I didn’t know why, I made my hands into fists and the school started to crumble. It looked like a pile of rubbish. My mother started to shout at me for what I have done. “You need to control it Elizabeth, you can’t keep on doing this.” “Mommy they were mean to me saying I was ugly that’s why I don’t have a father.” We drove home and I saw a car in the drive way. “Mommies friend came to visit, he’s going to make you feel better.” I nodded my head. We made our way into the house, he wore a black suit and his skin was pale. He had yellow eyes and black hair that was comb to the back. “Hello dear, I heard what you did at school.” I nodded my head again and saw him coming closer to me “I am here to make you feel better, is that alright with you?” I nodded again and the next thing I new he pushed his long dirty nails into my neck I could feel everything being drained out of my body. I heard him speaking to my mother “This will make her shut off all her abilities, she wont remember anything of this, move to another city and explained she fell and hit her head.”
Then I went into a deep sleep.

I woke up and shook my head, he has been there since I was small, he took my memory away that’s why I didn’t know about all this. i looked at the table in front of my bed it was full of waffle’s and a big jar with red black juice. I sat down and starting to eat waffles it tasted like dry bread  I couldn’t swallow it I spat it out and grabbed the jar, it was demon’s blood it made me smile I took a sip of it and then again and again till it was finished. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom, my stomach is bigger than yesterday, I lifted my shirt and saw blue marks all around my stomach. “You need to stop hurting mommy like this, my body is fragile little warrior.” She started to move the way my hands were moving on my skin. I got dressed, I started walking through the castle I walked past a glass door that led me to a garden. It was dry I opened the door and my foot got caught on a piece of old wood, I fell down and when my hand hits the ground I sigh in pain, I felt the ground move between my hands and in a split second there was grass coming out of it, it spread like a wild fire. “o my lord.” I could see the walls that had old thorns on turned into wild red roses the walls cracks were sealed and looked like a new wall. “He’s going to kill me.” I heard a demonic sound, the walls of the castle started to shake. I made my way inside the castle again I held my hands against my chest to afraid to touch anything else, I made my way to my room when I saw my door is open. “She left me! I can’t sense her anymore since she started using her powers!” I stood in the door, he looked tired and angry he smelled the air and turned around. “I didn’t leave, but I am worried I can’t touch anything, the garden went green and everything started to live again.” He made his way to me but I shook my head. “Please don’t come closer, I don’t want to kill you.” he looked at me with a strange face. “how did you get hold of your powers?” I looked down at my hands “I was dreaming about it and then I saw you… took it away and then I couldn’t remember anymore, its like my mind controlled it.”

“Its impossible you couldn’t have, not alone..” he looked down at my stomach and started to run to me. I felt a strong pain and felt wetness between my legs. “She’s bleeding get the room ready.” I didn’t even see the warriors behind him until they were running past us. “It hurts so bad.” He picked me up and ran to a different room he sat me down on the bed and ripped my clothes off. “You are going to give birth to our child I cant be in the room she is under the impression we are hurting your body that’s been keeping her save.” I started to cry of all the pain. He left the room and closed the door, I could feel her coming I started to push again and again, everything went quiet and suddenly a hard growl came from her that made the whole room shake I grabbed her and held her against my breast she quickly took hold of it and started to drink. I looked at her she had hair everywhere on her body a long tail and two small little wings, he eyes were one blue and one yellow, the handle of the door started to move and I felt her shake in a split second she shape shifted into a normal looking baby. “mommy won’t let anyone hurt you.” the memory man came walking in, he stopped and looked at our daughter. “She’s beautiful.” I smiled down at her. “you should see her true form, she looks just like you, her eyes is one blue and one yellow.” He took her from me and I felt my eyes getting heavy, my heart beat started to weaken. “I need you to protect her.” He looked at me and saw the blood still coming out of me , the bed was soaked in blood and is starting to drip on the floor. “You can’t leave us she’s apart of you as well.” I started to feel my soul leaving my body I looked at my child and smiled. I felt the last beat of my heart and then darkness took over me. “ I am the Keeper of Soul’s, the father of your child, do you accept your death?”
“Yes”

“Now breath in and out.” I felt my lungs breath air in and out, I felt my heart wasn’t beating. I opened my eyes and saw my daughter standing next to the memory man. “How is this possible?” she smiled at me making her way to me. “She grew faster than any other creature, she’s only a day old and look eighteen.” I touched her face and she closed her eyes

“Mother.” I started crying but no tears came out. “What is happening to my body, I feel no heartbeat?” she smiled and looked at her father. “I combined our heart with your soul mother, you are alive but as an earth keeper, as long as the earth is alive mother will live.” She went to stand in front of the window. “What will you call me? I am born but yet have no name to be called?” I looked at the memory man “We Camilla, it’s a warrior maiden and queen of the Volsci. You are our queen and the beginning of a new world.” He smiled and looked at me. “Thank you.”
