1 MONTH LATER
MALASSIAS POV:
Me: are you ready for tomorrow?
Jabari shrugged his shoulders paying no interest to what I was saying. He planned for us to have dinner with trey and Tanaya since I was refusing to speak to her until he clears the air with trey, so we was going to do it at the same time.
We are now at my house chilling, since the funeral he's been spending alot of time here his excuse is that he's bringing ty but I think he just likes my company abit too much.
Me: what's up with you?
Jabari: nothing.
Me: what did Tanaya say about meeting up?
Jabari: she's fine with it I suppose.
Me: you don't seem happy about it.
I sat on my bed beside him since he was more focused on the TV than me.
Jabari: am I supposed to be?
Me: you asked for this.
Jabari: I'm only doing what you want.
Me: I'm not going to force you to do anything you don't want to.
Jabari: it's kool.
I rolled my eyes standing up again until he pulled me back down finally looking me in my face.
Me: why are you acting like you don't want to move on with Tanaya?
Jabari: I'm not.
Me: so what is it?
Jabari: you know he doesn't deserve you.
Me: that's not for you to worry about.
Jabari: fine. I'll just kill him when he fucks you over.
I rolled my eyes, why does he keep saying that? The worse thing is his face looks like he's being serious.
Me: he's not going to. We're doing good.
Jabari: whatever malassia.
Me: you don't need to worry about what's going on with me.
Jabari: I'm just saying.
Me: do you want me all up in your business with Tanaya?
He stared into my eyes biting his jaw, I know he doesn't want to make up with trey but he planned this all so he can't take it back now. His eyes slowly went down to my lips which he always does when he's about to kiss me so I stood up walking away before it happened. Over the last few weeks he's been doing it quite a lot and I can't lie I've let it happen but we need to stop and I'm trying for our own good.
Jabari: me and Tanaya have no issues right now but if she comes tomorrow you know that's going to create problems.
Me: what do you mean if?
I spun around raising my eyebrow at him.
Me: have you told her yet?
Jabari: I told you I have already.
Me: so why wouldn't she come?
Jabari: I'm just saying it's a bad idea.
Me: it was your idea.
Jabari: malassia. The only relationship that's going to benefit from this is yours.
Me: I'm done talking to you. You make the decision because you know it's the right thing to do.
I stood leaning on my window sill screwing the wall. He better not mess this up. We both know there's no way it can stay like this between us all. We're too old to keep this pointless drama going.
I tried to ignore him as he walked up to me holding onto my waist.
Jabari: don't be mad.
Me: how can I not, you said we should do this now you're saying it's a bad idea.
JABARIS POV:
Me: fine, we'll be there.
Malassia: don't mess this up.
I nodded looking at her lips slowly moving closer with every second.
Me: I won't
I held onto her waist tighter as we kissed. How can I give this woman away? I love her too much.
I lifted her up so she sat on the window sill pushing my body inbetween her legs.
Jerome: can somebody cha-
We both froze as Jerome bursted into the room.
Jerome: shit I'm sorry.
He tried to walk out until malassia called him back.
Malassia: Jerome wait... it's fine, what's up?
Jerome: Lisa's nappy needs changing.
Me: can't you change it?
Jerome: na, she did a number two.
Malassia chuckled looking at me uneasy.
Malassia: I'll sort it out don't worry.
I held onto her waist as she tried to leave the room.
Me: wait.
Malassia: please don't.
I let her go laying on the bed.
Jerome: so...
Me: get out.
Jerome: is this what happens when no one's around?
Me: I'm not in the mood Jerome.
Jerome: Trey told me they're going to get married once you two make amends.
Me: no they're not.
Jerome: that's not what he said.
Me: she's not saying yes to him.
Jerome: Jay yo-
Me: I'm not in the fucking mood leave me alone.
He stood in the doorway screwing me until malassia walked in with Lisa.
Malassia: what's with the shouting?
I shook my head as he walked away.
Me: nothing.
Malassia: honestly jabari what happened?
Me: don't marry him.
Malassia: what?
Me: you heard what I said.
She ignored me changing Lisa's nappy.
Me: promise me.
Malassia: you said we should move on. This is not how it works.
Me: not this.
Malassia: are you not planning on proposing to Tanaya one day?
Me: not if you don't want me to.
Malassia: I would never stop you from doing that if that's what you want because I want you to be happy.
Me: how can you act like you don't give a fuck about me moving on?
Malassia: I'm not acting. I know what's best for you and it isn't me.
Me: so why the fuck am I still not happy without you?
Malassia: because you're doing it on purpose. You know Tanaya wants to build with you.
Me: this isn't about her.
Malassia: it needs to be. Don't mess another relationship up for me.
Me: that's the exact same thing you said to Trey in our hotel room.
I stared at her as she put Lisa down to walk around then came and stood infront of me.
Malassia: what do you want me to say to you jabari?
Me: tell me you'll marry me?
