you don't understand and i can't explain
He ran up behind me swiping me off my feet just to make a fuss. "Namjoon! If you don't put me down! You're making a scene!" He did as told, dropping me ten inches from the air. "What is it?" I snap while pulling down my now crinkled shirt.
"Where are you going looking all... not like you?" He laughs while rustling up my freshly combed hair.
I admit I did go a bit overboard today with the hair and actually ironing my uniform. I feel as if I stepped a mile out of my comfort zone, but I do a lot for this girl. If I'm going to talk to her today after school then the first impression matters. I can't go up to her looking like myself. I'd scare her away.
As for Namjoon's question. "I wanted to try something different." We step into our classroom where everyone is rowdy and being extremely loud. I wave to Jimin who waves back before pulling my chair out for me. Just before I could sit down, Kim Taehyung plops down on my table.
"Jeon Jungkook!" he calls out in his deep voice. "Barely recognized you friend." He slaps my shoulder as I squeeze into my chair trying my best not to touch him. "You don't have to impress me. You already have my heart Jungkookie."
Jimin laughs in my ear as I roll my eyes. How much of his gay does he have to roll off his tongue before he realizes we kissed once and that will forever be the last time. He still hasn't taken the hint of why I won't go back to his house.
Namjoon does me the favor of pushing Taehyung off my desk and dragging Taehyung to sit on the other side of the room with him. Jimin nudges me when Taehyung sends me a wink. I look forward as the teacher enters the classroom.
"It's that time of the month again!" he shouts which makes us all groan. "Our class was picked for the coed sports activity with Kkotdaegi School for Girls. I know we haven't had to interact with them for two months, but I refuse to walk off that court a loser!" We all stood up immediately.
"Can I be captain?" Namjoon raised his hand and did the honor for all of us. No one wants their name to be drawn but him. Only him. "I'm really good at it."
"Good call. I don't feel like digging in the drawer for the sticks anyway. Now everyone go to the locker rooms and get changed. Today's activity is basketball." We all scurried out of the class, leaving our belongings behind.
Jimin and Namjoon walk on the side of me as we watch Taehyung flirt with Im Changkyun who we know likes him back. I wish they'd date already so he would leave me alone.
"They play hard, Namjoon hyung. I still have a bruise from the last time that girl hit me with the baseball bat on my knee." I wince internally.
"God, I'm surprised she didn't like go to jail for that," Namjoon's face showed he was thinking back on the time. I could just imagine what Jimin felt. "But damn, Jungkook-ah. You are still looking fresh today. I want the truth behind your choice of hairstyle today."
"I don't know." I honestly didn't. I couldn't put what love does to a person in words.
