Chapter 7: Family is everything

I stepped inside Courtney's car I sat in the front we had put my shoes in the trunk and now were just driving on the road she looked at me "so you went to a party"

"How was it"

"Courtney I hate people I just want to go back to my dad's where everything is normal Andrew was taking things to fast, Daniel tried to kiss me and some idiot threw up on my shoes"

"Wait...other than the fact that some guy threw up on your shoes how the heck is that bad"

"Courtney!!"

"Okay okay I'm sorry now explain"

"So Danielle, Daniel's sister left me alone and me and Daniel were talking next thing I know he calls me beautiful then he kisses me and I didn't kiss back because I don't think I like him, so I went into the party Andrew walked we walked talked and danced then he sort of made out with me he tried to go further I told him to stop he apologized I tried to get Daniel to take me home and he yelled at me so then I Called you and now were here"

She sighed "wow so are you mad at Andrew and Daniel I assume"

"Well Daniel yeah I hate him, he's such a jerk I can't wait to go back with my dad and for everything to be normal again, no boys just me and dad"

"You like living like that"

"Well it's just simpler, anyways thanks for the ride Court"

"Anytime"

I grabbed the bag that the shoes were in and got out of the car walking up the long drive way I sat the shoes out side and cleaned them with the water hose, then I left them out to dry. I walked in and was immediately greeted by my mom she frowned

"Honey are you okay"

"I'm fine just leave me alone please"

I ran up the stairs and inside my room I slammed the door shut and went into the bathroom I took a shower got out and changed into some blue flannel  pajama  pants and a blue long sleeved shirt. I pulled my hair up into a messy bun

I got into my bed and pulled out my book and read, then there was a knock on my door and it was soon opened by David

"Hey cupcake want to tell me what's wrong"

"It's nothing"

"Look if he hurt you, I can drive down there and carry my baseball bat..."

I laughed a little "no it's fine I just, he took me to a party"

" a party? But didn't you tell me those aren't your thing"

"Exactly so we went and I just didn't have fun and I hate parties"

"That's really all that happened you just didn't have fun"

I nodded he frowned "well if you ever want to talk I'm always here"

"Thanks, dad"

He smiled "your welcome cupcake"

He walked down stairs I could tell he was happy I just smiled to myself and turned off my light I put my book down and fell asleep

I woke up that morning and walked down stairs to see everyone eating breakfast David smiled, "morning, you slept in"
