Song of the chapter: My Oh My (feat. DaBaby) by Camila Cabello

DELILAH breathed out a sigh of relief as her eyes landed on Adelaide waiting by the lockers. Running through the crowded hallway, she barely gave a glance at anything but her best friend.
Suddenly she felt herself falling.
Hard.
Groaning, she put her palms against the floor before turning to her left to push herself to sit up.
"Oh my god. Your head," a voice exclaimed with genuine concern lacing their time.
"Hmm," she warily hummed.
Adelaide ran towards her before bringing her hand up to caress Delilah's temple. "Babe, you're bleeding. Can you get up for me so we can head to the nurse?"
"My ankle," she choked out.
A new set of hands came to check her head, but Adelaide slapped the hands away too soon.
"Get your hands off her," she heard her snap.
"I'm trying to help her," the voice snapped back.
"We got this," Adelaide said.
The boy scoffed. "No you don't."
Looking up, Delilah's vision was fuzzy but she managed to make out three boys standing beside them. Blinking, she scowled as her vision cleared to find Parker, Jasper and fascinatingly enough— Jackson— looming over her worryingly.
"What," she barked.
The arrogant expression once occupying Parker's face was gone and replaced with a look of concern. "You okay?" he asked.
"Peachy," she drawled out, sending the most sarcastic expression his way.
"Will you let us help her?"
Another voice chimed through their conversation, but it was directed at Adelaide. She looked over at Jasper who seemed bothered by the whole situation.
"I think we'll be fi—"
Parker's voice cut Adelaide's off, he was obviously frustrated. "Oh shut up. It's all lies."
Delilah chose to ignore their banter as the throbbing sensation in her head increased ten-fold. "Help me up," she mumbled to Adelaide. Standing up, Adelaide pulled Delilah up before letting her bring her arm across her shoulder for support.
"Lean on me," Adelaide soothingly said, but it was obvious she was struggling to hold her weight.
"We could help you know."
Looking back at them, Adelaide finally gave in, offering Delilah to the nearest boy— who happened to be Jackson.
Stepping forward, Jackson took a hold of her body. "Let's go," he sighed.
