DELILAH wasn't having as much fun as she thought she'd be.

Jasper's arms were wrapped around her body, showing her how to mini golf just like Jackson had. When they pulled up to the place, Delilah tried hard not to show the disappointment on her face. She couldn't identify the nagging feeling she felt exactly, but she had an idea.

She didn't want to share this place with anyone else but Jackson.

Jasper's arms didn't feel the same, she didn't feel the same electricity. As Jasper brought her chin up to kiss her, she suddenly wondered what if would've felt like had she let Jackson kiss her when he wanted to.

Her skin wasn't on fire and scorching from Jasper's touch.

He didn't leave a fire in his path as he touched her. Only Jackson seemed to achieve that.

Noticing her mood having dampened, Jasper suggested they go for a walk on the beach. She attempted to smile at the suggestion, but had a feeling Jasper saw through her.

"You're not in the happiest mood," Jasper commented as they kicked sand out of their way as they walked beside the shoreline.

Delilah raised her head and shook her head. "And what makes you say that?" she nervously laughed as the words left her mouth.

Jasper stopped in his tracks, grabbing her hand in the process. She stopped and looked back at him. "Because," he acknowledged, "that beautiful smile that made me fall for you hasn't been on your face since the beginning of the night."

She frowned at his realization.

"No I've been smiling," she said defending herself.

He shook his head, forcing her to stop ignoring the truth. "You've been giving me some kind of half-assed smile throughout the night. It's not the smile you had before."

She sighed as he pointed the fact out. "I'm sorry Jasper," she began awkwardly. "I—I jus—-I just didn't start out in a good mood. Even before you showed up."

He nodded his head in understanding. He watched her look at her watch, and he watched as she was practically waiting for the date to be over.

Delilah didn't expect to feel so...bored on this date. She expected to feel the flowers bloom in her chest, the exact way she felt whenever she looked longingly at Jasper. However, she no longer wished to enjoy the night with him.

"You don't have to lie Delilah," Jasper reassured her. "We both know you'd rather be here with Jackson."

The moment he said that, she froze. Slowing raising her head, she locked gazes with Jasper. She swallowed hard before realizing there was no point in acting like there was actually something brewing between them.
