The crisp fall air pinched my damp cheeks as I walked down the barely awake street. Shop owners opening up shop and doing inventory. High schoolers trudging to school, looking for their walking buddies. Tired adults slumping home after a late night. All of them living their own lives, happy each in their own way.

I finally came upon the building I was looking for. The bell sung as I walked pleasantly through the door.
"Ah! Sakura! It's nice to see you again. Are you here to help out again?" Smiled an old lady. This is Aimi, she owns the cafe I help out at. She was like the mother I never had.
"Yeah I'm here. I'll suit up." I replied walking into the backroom. After getting dressed I prepared to start baking.

Since Aimi is pretty old, she needs help with the cafe, all the help she brings in can never do it right. That's where I come in, ever since she moved from Japan to here a few years ago I've been doing some of the harder work for her. In exchange she gives me money, sweets, or really cool moves. She has a son in Japan and she talks about him all the time. She really loves him.

I finished getting dressed and headed out to the kitchen, Aimi stopped me and patted my legs and sides with her cane. This was her way of seeing if I was alright or not.

"Okay! Now let's start the day!" Exclaimed Aimi as she walking into the kitchen. I took my post at the cash register, beginning that day.

"Have I ever told you that my son is a hero?"

I put my drink back on the counter and turned to face Aimi. It was our lunch break and usually she tell stories about her life during this time.

"I didn't know that." I stated resting against the counter.

"Yep! He's a Pro hero in Japan, I forgot his Hero name. I think it was blank face or something? I don't know, but he'll always be my little boy! He is really amazing, even with all that work he still finds time to call his little ol' ma! I'm so proud of him!" Aimi gushed happily. She really loves her son, and I'm glad it's mutual. She deserves all the love the world has to offer.

I smiled as she continued on in her ramblings, This was nice. For now I can ignore the pain that I'll face when I have to go and enjoy the moment.

I waved towards the cafe as I walked down the street. It was a little after 4 and the city was alive despite the rain. I walked into an alley and took the back streets. If I took the Main Street I would be recognized, and I didn't need that trouble.

The people in the back streets know who I am and what I do. They know not to mess with me, they fear me. I like it that way, I can go on my way with little to no interaction. It was nice.

Soon I made it to my neighborhood, I waltzed down the street and past many big houses. Through my peripheral I could see people look out their window at me.

Nosy shitheads.

They were constantly paranoid of someone betraying them or robbing them. To them I'm a huge danger, I keep to myself and don't try to talk to the kids in my neighborhood. They constantly attempt to, and I quote, 'Break past her cold exterior and into the warm fire that is her soul!1!!1!' Annoying shitheads

I walked up the stairs to my front door, only to have it swing open suddenly. It was Sean, my aunts boy toy. He looked down at me and smiled, well smiled at my chest to be exact. I pushed pass him and rushed up the stairs. I just wanted to get to my room and start playi-

"Sakura, get in here right now."

I rolled my eyes and stomped back to her room. She was in her bed smoking her long pipe. She was obviously naked, having done some "work" with Sean.

"How was the job today?" She asked, feinting a caring persona. She thinks I'm so naive to not see through it.

"Good, I deposited the money already." I grumbled out. I just wanted to leave the smoky room.

"That's good, I'll be going on a business trip with Sean for a week. Don't get into trouble while I'm gone!" She exclaimed excitedly, it was obvious they were going to just spend money while I work from home.

I walked tiredly to my room, talking with her seemed to drain me. Closing the door behind me, I slumped into my computer chair and opened up online messaging.

MemeQueen: You there?

Matryoshgay: Yeah whats up?

MemeQueen: My aunts going on a trip so I'll be able to talk tonight.

Matryoshgay: YESSSSSSSSSS

Matryoshgay: WE GON PLAY ALL THE HORROR GAMES

MemeQueen: Can you even handle that?

Matryoshgay: Asdfgjkgl Yeah! I'm training to be a hero! I have no fear!

MemeQueen: ok....let's play Ao oni.

Matryoshgay: .......uhhhh.........

MemeQueen: lmao see ya later dweeb

Matryoshgay: Who you calling a dweeb, Pinhead???

MemeQueen: WHO YOU CALLING PINHEAD?!?!

Matryoshgay: IM DIRTY DAN!

MemeQueen: NO! IM DIRTY DAN!

Matryoshgay: ok for real this time, ciao!

Closing the window I leaned back in my chair. My mind began to wander as I stared blankly to the ceiling. My online friend, I call her Peaches most of the time, is becoming a hero. That was her dream to help people, I'm unsure of my dream besides the fact that I want to leave this hell. Maybe having a house with a pet, or maybe even a lover or ,hell, a friend would be nice. I shook those thoughts out my head. People like me can't be heroes, I've done too much bad.

This is my reality.
