The Vampire Princess

Chapter 2

"Shut up alarm", screamed Ellen and sat up on the bed and snoozed it.

Liana entered Ellen's room and said, "Princess you need to get ready to leave for Ekusa". "Yes, I remember. I am going for a shower and will be ready within twenty minutes", said Ellen disappointedly. "Please make it faster. Tyran is on his way here" said Liana. "Ah, Tyran!!" Ellen rolled her eyes as she went to clean up and get ready.

15 minutes later

"Let's get over with this," said Ellen to herself. (knock knock) "Come in", shouted Ellen. Tyran entered and said, "Princess we need to leave for Ekusa." "I am ready, let's go. By the way who else is coming with us" asked Ellen. "Only we both are going so that no one suspects us in Ekusa" replied Tyran. Ellen sighed in relieve as they started walking out of the castle

"What are you doing princess?" asked Tyran hesitantly. "I am sitting in front with you". "But.." before Tyran could finish his sentence she entered and sat in front of the car. Tyran quietly entered the car and started driving. Half of the journey went silently.
"Why do you call me princess, Tyran?" asked Ellen while looking out. "Because you are the princess, Princess." answered back Tyran. "We were best friends once and for you I was always Ellen, not any freaking princess," said Ellen annoyingly. Tyran didn't utter a word and kept on driving.
"Ellen only if you knew the truth." thought Tyran to himself.
The remaining journey was again full of silence.

After four hours of driving Tyran and Ellen reached Ekusa, at Count Draco's castle.

As they entered Count Draco himself greeted them in the hallway. "Welcome Princess.", said Count Draco and bowed. "Thank You My'Lord" replied Ellen politely. "I am glad you are here to help us. Within the last ten day, thirteen important people in our province were killed.", said Count Draco in a sad tone. "And what makes you think it was someone from your family?" Ellen raised her eyebrow and asked.
"Because three of my children are fighting about who would take the place after me," said Count Draco again sadly. "Technically your eldest child is supposed to take the position so why are they fighting about it?" asked Ellen with disbelief. "Princess they all were turned at the same time, I wanted Eldon to take the position but my other children Shyla and Dylan disagreed with it," said Count Draco. "So, do you mean Shyla and Dylan are the murderers?" asked Ellen. "No... this includes Eldon as well. Maybe.. I don't know... I don't know whom to trust anymore." said Count Draco looking down.
Tyran and Ellen looked at each other.
"It is already late, you should get some rest. Two rooms have been arranged for two of you. Tomorrow morning I will introduce you to my children. Then you decide what to do." said Count Draco.
"Okay. We'll see," replied Ellen.
"Sakina" called out Count Draco. A beautiful girl entered with long dark hair with green piercing eyes wearing white clothes, Tyran couldn't take off his eyes from her."Yes, master" said Sakina. "This is Princess Ellen and her Righthand man who wish to visit our place. So they will be staying here. Show them their rooms and make sure they are well fed." ordered Count Draco. "Y...Yes, master. This way Sir and Madam" said Sakina skeptical tone.
"Goodnight." Count Draco smiled and said. Both Tyran and Ellen smiled and nodded in approval.
While walking towards their room Tyran and Ellen both looked at each other. They both could understand something was wrong but couldn't understand what.
