"Lol I wonder if @ImmortalHD has been keeping up with kevins ask.fm"

Recently, this is all anyone had been wondering about Aleks. Normally, something like this would annoy him, but as it was Kevin, he wasn't too bothered. As of yet, Aleks hadn't looked at Kevin's answers, but now curiosity coupled with a lack of things to do were getting the better of him, and a few clicks later, he was there.

The first thing he saw was "How much do you care for Aleks?" Briefly, he wondered why Kevin had so many questions about him (Aleks) but then he saw Kevin's reply - "Two whole cares" - and he laughed, the question slipping from his mind. Reading on, he went through more questions and answers than he'd like to admit.

He read through so many and when he reached the ones with more detail to how much Kevin cared for him, something changed. He wasn't sure how to interpret the answers anymore. A lot of them could be seen as strictly platonic feelings, but the more he read and analysed them, they could even be seen as something more.

He decided that spending an hour going through these questions was enough. He refreshed the page. The most recent question had been answered 58 seconds ago. Aleks clicked the "Ask a question" box, debating whether or not he should type in his question. It would be anonymous, of course, and Kevin would never know it was him... Before he could change his mind, he typed it in and hit "Ask." What did he have to lose?

~~~
"What would you do if Aleks called you up and told you he loved you?"
This was Kevin's most recent question. He laughed, imaging that actually happening.
Since most of the questions about Aleks had been very ship-y, Kevin replied with "I'd tell him I loved him, too." This was true and he saw no reason to lie; besides, the KIND of love had never been specified. In any case, what did he have to lose?
~~~

Aleks hit refresh for what must've been the 20th time in the thirty seconds after he'd sent the message. Finally, there was the reply.

"I'd tell him I loved him, too."

That was all he needed. He picked up the phone.

~~~
He was midway through typing out the answer to the next reply when his phone rang. The caller ID told him it was Aleks, which, at that precise moment, he thought a funny coincidence.
"Hello?" He said, answering the phone. For a moment, there was silence. "Aleks...?"
"Kevin," Aleks said, and is tone was missing its usual lighthearted, carefree note.
"Are you okay, dude?" Kevin asked, becoming slightly worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I just... I have to tell you something."
"Okay...?"
"I've been on your ask.fm," he began.
"Oh. Have you?" Kevin began wondering if it wasn't just a coincidence.
"Yeah. Uh, so..."
They fell into silence and Kevin was just about to say something when --
"Kevin, to be completely honest, I think I'm in love with you a little."
For a moment, what Aleks said didn't register. For a moment, after it did, Kevin was shocked into silence. For a moment, Kevin was at a loss for what to say. After a moment, he didn't realise how long the silence had been. Too long.
"I'm sorry," Aleks said, dejected. "I shouldn't have... I'll just---" the line went dead.
"No, Aleks, wait --!" But he was already gone.
Kevin cursed and, that one question still in mind (he had a feeling he knew who'd asked it), he dialled back immediately.
"Aleks," Kevin said as soon as Aleks picked up.
"Kevin, I'm really sorry I said that, I just... I really hope this doesn't ruin our friendship because--"
"I hope it does," Kevin interrupted seriously.
"Wh-what?" Aleks asked, sounding utterly heartbroken.
"I don't want to be just friends with you, Aleks. I love you too, idiot."
"...Fuck you," Aleks answered after a brief silence, sounding embarrassed.
Kevin just laughed.
