1985

I groaned, streching my hands over my head as I look out the window . The curtains were open now and Margnus were no where to be seen. Sighing, my eyes trace the room, and I find that someone had unpacked all my stuff out of the suitcase and removed the suitcase out of sight. Smiling, I made a note to thank Magnus when I  could find him.

A knock on the door brought me out of my own thoughts and a smiling Janine came walking through the door. Her hair was now cut short, and she was wearing torn jeans, and a white T-shirt over.

"How are you feeling?" She asked, her sitting down on my bed, a hand covering mine. I smile, as I look at one of the few friends I ever had. Janine had been the only one who wasn't afraid of my brother, as he was the Alpha, and she was also the only one who could keep up with my mood.

Janine offered to make me breakfast, something that instantly made my mood go through the roof. A bright smile made it's way onto my lips and I nodded eagerly as a reply.

Laughing, Janine holds her hand out for me to take, which I do almost immediately and we began to walk together down the stairs, on our way the kitchen.

I was still in my PJ's, though I didn't mind as they covered all things necessary and they didn't look absolutely horrible either. They were in a light shade of blue, with tiny unicorns in white and baby-pink. They were my favourite pair, and I had had them for almost 5 years already.

"Ohh, can you make your pancakes? You're so damn good at making pancakes" I exclaim, almist jumping in delight as I thought of Janine's pancakes.

Janine laughs, pointing me towards a chair. Her hand ran through her short hair, and I squeeled as I saw the new addition to her jewellery-collection.

"Is that?!" I jump up from the chair I had only been seated on for a couple of seconds, my hands covering my mouth as I squealed once more. I rush over to her as a laugh escapes her mouth, her head bopping up and down in a fast pace.

"Yes" she laughs and her face brightens up with glee before she shushed me, a finger over her lips for effect. "We haven't told anyone yet. It happened last night".

"Ummm," I say, a hand steady on my hip as I tell her matter-of-factly, "he's been talking about it for months. He even had a pack-meeting about it" I laughed, and a surprised look washed over her face before she joined me.

"Why am I not impressed?" She asked, still half-giggling as she turned away, and began to find the ingrediens.

"No, no no no no no" I exclaim, grabbing her hand as to investigate the beautiful ring. The band was silver and had flowered engravings, and a fair-sized diamond was gently sat on top of it, sparkling brightly. It looked perfect next to the promise ring Christian had given her a few years ago.

I squeal in glee, extremely happy for my brother and Janine's sake. They were perfect together and I could only wish for a relationship as they had. I smiled at the thought, although slightly jealous knowing that my mate, Kent, would never ask me such a question of whom Janine had been asked. He couldn't even be in the same room as me most of the time.

"You know," Janine starts, her arm propped up on the tall kitchen-island, her chin in the palm of her hand as she spoke. Her lips curled into a teasing smile as her eyebrows rose, "Whilst you were gone, someone claimed Kent was better at making pancakes than I was."

"Kent cookes?" I gasp, my mind not completely able to grasp the new information. Throughout the years I had known him, which was my entire life, I had only seen him in the kitchen a handful of times and the fanciest food I had ever seen him make was toast.
