In My Way (Sweeran Fanfiction)

If I asked, what would you say?

Ed's POV

I watched as she danced around the stage, two more songs till the moment I had been waiting for, for my whole life. To say I was nervous was beside the point, I was shaking so hard that when I went to sing everything has changed, Taylor and some of the stage crew were giving me funny looks.

"Whats wrong?" Taylor asked in my ear as we hugged at the end of the song.

"Nnnnothing" I stutter out as I kiss her on the lips and walk off the stage.  The rest of the set went by to fast, and in no time at all, the intro to WANGBT was playing, I quickly walked back to my dressing room, snatching the small box out of the draw I had put it in earlier,  I walked back to the side of the stage. I was about to run on when Taylor's mum materialized next to me.

"Whatever happens tonight,  im still gonna be proud of you. Go get her!" I grin at her "Oh and good luck!" she yells after me. Feeling the box jiggling in my pocket, I jog up the steps and out onto the stage joining in with one of the dancers until Taylor noticed me.

"Ed?" she mouthed at me, with a confused look on her face, I give a small nod and watch as she turns back to the audience completely unprepared for what I was about to do. Grabbing the microphone that one of the stage hands handed to me I walked down the cat walk and joined taylor at the end of the ramp that was starting to lift up into the air , when we were fully swung out on top of the audience, I quickly nod at the sound and lighting crew. Taylor was still giving me wierd looks but I ignored them. Then the music cut off and the whole arena went black apart from one spotlight that was trained on us. Them a mash up video of all the moments that had been captured of me and taylor just hanging out and preforming started playing on the screen, I smiled as the backing track started playing it was a mix of Stay Stay Stay and Love Story. The crowd was yelling and screaming, everybody was going insane but I was only focusing on one person Taylor.

I felt one of my knees hit the ground and the whole crowd went silent "Taylor" I say into the microphone "I've been loving you for quite some time and it most definitely is a love story" I pause swallowing down my nerves "What im really trying to say is" I pull the ring out of my pocket and im pretty sure everyone in the arena gasped "Taylor Alison Swift will you, will you marry me?" the silence was defening,  everyone was holding their breath all eyes trained on taylor.  I watched as her face went through all the emotions, her hands went to her mouth and she let out a small squeal.

"Yes, yes yes!" she screamed and I slid the ring onto her finger I stood pulling her into a tight hug before kissing her pationatly on the lips.

It had been the best and longest journey I had ever been on, and this journey of our love wasn't finnished yet.
