Im better? Thats a shocker

Sasuke, Naruto, and I all three start to focus chakra to the bottom of our feet. When there was finally enough we started running towards the trees.

I look over to see my blonde headed brother take one step on the tree..... BAM..... he fell and hit his head on the ground. I look over a little more to see Sasuke take a few steps then jump off about to fall.

I begin to run up the tree 'oh wow! I can almost touch the branch!' I thought. I was only two steps away from the branch until...'so close!!-' I thought. "AHH!" I fell but not before I marked my place.

"Nice job Y/N-chan! You almost did it!" Naruto yelled. "Almost doesn't cut it.." I mumbled but he heard me. He walks up to me and throws his arm around my shoulder. "Cheer up! You managed to get higher than me!" He said with a grin.

I huffed "Anyone could manage that, dummy." I say with a giggle. "Hey! That's not true! Well, you got higher than Sasuke!" Naruto whisper-yelled the last part because Sasuke managed to go higher than him.

I looked at the one and only duckbutt to see him glaring. 'Did he hear us? Oh well.' I thought. "Alright!" I yelled in Naruto's ear causing him to fall back. "Back to climbing!" I cheer.

"Right!" Naruto yelled back, standing up. I ran up the tree this time and-"wait!" A familiar blonde yelled causing me to fall. "BAKA! Don't yell like that! You made me fall!" I yelled rubbing my butt which I landed on.

"S-sorry Y/N-chan.." Naruto said sheepishly. I sighed. "Wha chu want brotha" I say standing up. "Uh.." he looked at me weirdly for a minute but then continued.

"You almost got to the branch and..uh.. I was wondering.." "well? What is it? Don't waste my training time, dummy." I say. "I'm not a dummy! And I was wondering if you could help me out! You know, give me a few pointers?" Naruto asked.

I gave my brother a warm, assuring smile. "Baaaaka" I said, holding out the 'a'. His smile dropped. "If you wouldn't of made me fall I wouldn't mind! But you HAD to yell, didn't you?" I say smirking.

He gloomy walked back to his tree and started to practice again. I snickered. 'Stupid big brother, if you ask again.. of course I'll help..' I say to myself smiling.

After about 3 hours I finally mad it to the top of the tree while the others are still having trouble. "I'm better than Sasuke at something? I like the odds of that!" I say.

~~time skip to tomorrow morning~~

I sat on the bridge bored as ever. I watched as the builders build the bridge. "All alone and lonesome?" I hear.

I turn my head to where I heard the voice from to see the one and only Tazuna. "Where's idiot and Mr.perfect?" Tazuna asked, making me smile slightly. "Training. I surpassed those two so Kakashi-sensei told me to stay here and protect you." I say.

"Really?" Tazuna asked in disbelief which made me glare. '"Really?" Are you serious! Did you think I was honestly that bad! He really knows how to tick me off.' I thought.

"Tazuna..can I talk to you?" A voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "Huh? What's wrong Giichi?" Tazuna asked. "I've been thinking it over...this bridge we're working on...I want off this job!" The guy I now know as Giichi said.

"Wh-why?! Out of nowhere like this... you, of all people!!" Tazuna said. "Tazuna! We go back a long way. I want to help you, but we can't take this risk. Gatô will take out a contract on us if we don't stop! And if you die, it won't just be this one project. We could all lose everything! Please, just give it up... this bridge isn't worth it." Giichi said.
